It is a token basket defence but likely to be successful.

RV is the plaintiff seeking damages. Specifically that she was accused of leaking info to the press about CR.

Colleen has been unable to prove this due to the alleged loss of evidence.

Furthermore CR has to specifically prove that RV did it or directed someone to.

The case is specific to one aspect. Proving, as the defence have, that RV has form unfortunately for the Rooney’s doesn’t mean she is responsible this time.

It’s almost certain that she did but almost certain is not enough.

In my opinion Vardy will win damages.

What is stunning about this case is that RV was suing for damages to her reputation but in bringing this case has done far more damage herself. Her reputation is in the bin and it’s very doubtful Jamie Vardy will be trusted by any team mates in the future.

If this true then the law is indeed an ass

I do now believe that Forest will win tonight and take that second spot. There just seems to be a good feeling around Forest. It's in their hands but they have nothing to lose given where they have come from. They are on fire at the minute whereas Bournemouth have been faltering. The pressure is entirely on them and I think they'll bottle it.

    Sadly, i think you're right.

  3. Navalny on iplayer.  Intriguing look at Puitn's political opponent and the Kremlins attempt to poison him, his recovery and his return to Moscow.  If anyone could be in any doubt about the regime running Russia they wont be after watching this.  Fascinating

He’s an integral part of one of my best memories. Beating Man United 1-0 at old Trafford, to secure out survival, on the day they were awarded the title trophy.

And mine.  Was hilarious, my then girlfriend and now wife was at the toilet when Malc scored.  Never lived it down ?

50000 killed must have been traumatic indeed for such a young country.

Has remembrance been extended to all wars, as it has in the UK?

Yes it now commemorates all Australians and New Zealanders "who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations" and "the contribution and suffering of all those who have served".  I have fond memories of spending an Anzacs day in Australia in the 90's.  Its a national holiday and a full day of partying following the remembrance services.

A bunch of actors in Godless who had great roles in other shows.

Kim Coates who plays the head of security (only 4 episodes in and can't remember his name) was the lead in the utterly brilliant Bad Blood.

That series (there were actually two) really went under the radar.

For anybody who hasn't seen it, check it out on (I think) Netflix.

There was also Merritt Wever from Unbelievable that was almost as good as Bad Blood.

As well as the leads. I recognised Michelle Dockery from Anatomy of a Scandal but didn't realise she was in Downton Abbey as I've never watched it.

And of course JD who was is as @86 Hair Islandsand @ketteringrampointed out, utterly fabulous.

Just need to finish Top Boy then i will give Bad Blood a go, got some rave reviews.

Nick Pick was signed in 1988, Also I disagree about Kuhl, no world beater but i think quite instrumental in getting us to the Play-Off Final against the ginger bin dogs.

I agree, Kuhl should be nowhere near the list, decent player and could drink like a fish ?

Yeah that’s a fair post with some valid points.

However, I maybe in the minority here but I don’t actually think Cashin was that impressive for the 23s. He cost several goals with very poor mistakes (perfectly normal for a young defender btw) and was over ambitious with his distribution, bordering on complacent.

I happen to think the same with Thompson and that both he and Cashin were more impressive for the 1st team than they were for the 23s.

You too make some valid points and looking at the responses i think most agree with you about Bird.  I think he has had a very good season but with about 100 first team appearances i just don't see him as as young player contender any more, more in line for the main award.

I didn’t state it as a fact, I just gave my opinion and substantiated it with some facts.

What is a fact is that Cashin has played 25% of the season and in my opinion to be a PotS you need to have played at the very least half of it!

Young Player of the season does not have to come from the 1st team though.  Often in the past it has been an academy player who has won the award, maybe on the fringes of the first team squad.  I think the fact that Cashin was due to be a 1st team squad player then was told he couldn't play, bided his time in under 23's playing consistently well and then when called upon has been magnificent for a kid of his age.  I know i sound like his agent but i believe he thoroughly deserves the accolade.

How anyone can look beyond Max Bird for young player of the SEASON is beyond me.

The ‘kid’ has started 38 games this season and barely been substituted! His pass completion from nearly 2000 passes is 82%, he averages nearly 50 passes a game, he has scored twice and has 2 assists from a deep midfield position for a team that’s effectively in the bottom 8 of the championship!!!

How Cashin / Festy / Plange / Thompson (as well as they’ve done) can be voted for ahead of him after just a handful of games is incredible. Each to their own I guess but for me Player of the Season should be exactly that and criteria no 1 should be having played more than half the games!!!

I don't look at Bird as a 'Young Player' anymore.  I know he is only 22 this year but in his 4th season in first team, i consider him a relative veteran.  He would be in my top 3 for Player of the Season but Cashin has done so well since he was brought in I feel he has earned the award.

  11. Do they sell a proportion online and some at ticket office?  If you queued for a couple of hours before ticket office opened and they sold out in 6 minutes you would be a bit gutted.  In 6 minutes you might only serve a dozen people in ticket office.

New series if Inside No. 9 starting tonight but I will probably watch it on Iplayer as it clashes with the final episode of The thief, his wife and the canoe.

How has the thief been?  Seen some mixed reviews, not sure whether to bother or not.

I'm sorry to bang on about this as it's my third time mentioning it, but Top Boy is ducking brilliant.

We watched the last episode last night and that one episode was as good, or better, as any episode in Gomorrah.

I was worried that Top Boy wouldn't be as good as Top Boy Summerhouse when Netflix took over the production.

Well, it just got better and better. Whether that was because it got more violent as the characters developed or because the introduction of one of the scariest characters from Liverpool entered the fray, I'm not really sure. And btw, that character looked a lot like Ginny from Gomorrah and I wonder if that was intentional.

    The acting was truly outstanding.

Dialogue can be mumbly and I had to look up a lot of the urban slang as I'm an old fart, but seriously guys, it's like a UK Gomorrah.

So in case you didn't see my early post.

Watch Top Boy Summerhouse series 1 & 2 first and then go onto to Top Boy series 1 and 2 because they were made 10 years later and Netflix didn't want to confuse people do renamed the original Top Boy, Top Boy Summerhouse and then promptly confused every ducker.

    All are on Netflix.

I just gave it 10/10 on IMDb and I almost never do that.

I have to agree, Summerhouse was good but i am now well into Top Boy series one and if anything it is better.  It hasn't topped the dizzy heights of Gomorrah for me but very, very good none the less.

Started watching ZeroZeroZero on NowTV as it’s created by the same person that created Gomorrah but I’m a little disappointed. Perhaps too Americanised.

I stuck with ZeroZeroZero, it was okay but not in the same league as Gomorrah sadly.  Currently enjoying TopBoy from the beginning as i never saw any of it.  I am quite impressed so far.

Would the EFL even let him pass the fit & proper test?

Incredibly, yes.  This was confirmed in the minutes of one of the SCG meetings.  You're allowed two failures or insolvencies or however they worded it |(the EFL) before you are disqualified.
