Thanks to @Diego, I've kept your lucky formatting for the matchday thread titles.
No need to panic, lots of home games and a nice away day vs Barnsley to come this month.
    Relax people, I've got this.

Today was never the day for 442 unfortunately, needed the extra midfielder has we lost so many second balls. Vokes won too many flick ons and headers and today was smiths hardest game as RB. Score early against Lincoln and the confidence will be back

Well put. Warne very keen to shoehorn in 2 up front, and when it didn't work with 3-5-2, today was a different approach.
As a result we ceded midfield control, were often overran and were sucked all too easily into their hoofball.
After last week I understand why the boss went with it again but it was never working. I'd have considered changing it before half time, but definitely at half time. And absolutely by the 55 minute mark.
When we did change it smacked of desperation, bringing Davies on to play up front and Sibley to play left back. That's just silly. We were desperate for someone to be able to carry the ball through midfield. I expect White will now start next game now, but I will campaign to have both the Sibley twins there.

Shame about the result, but we were bullied today. We have actually taken bullying in our stride this season, but trying to play them at their game was the big mistake. Too much long ball, too much "Just head it somewhere" in, our defending and midfield play, instead of getting it down and actually playing football.
First half we held our own, and created the more dangerous chances, but a lucky deflection played two strikers on, and we were behind. We should have been able to get the game back again, but dilly dallied with late substitutions, and continued with our Wycombe impersonations. My internet went off after their second goal, and even after flying from Tokyo to Amsterdam it stayed off, eventually getting a message across the screen "Your are not allowed to watch this video" and I am still having problems now. It would seem that Rams TV are having a purge on oversees viewers! So I missed the third, and our second, as well as their keeper thinking he was an ex-Forest keeper!
And having had a couple of decent referees recently, it was inevitable that we would get one who gave Wycombe carte blanche to be Wycombe Wanderers. And this is the only worry I have for us getting into the play-offs - all the EFL will have to do is give us a crap ref, and they have a huge stock of those to call on. However the ref didn't cost us the game today, we did with our tactics and reluctance to bring on the subs soon enough. And in a game where very few did well, Cashin was Man of the Match for us, and Dobbin continued his emergence into greatness! I am so glad he got another goal. Keep it going, Dobbs!
So on to Tuesday. Watch out, Lincoln!

Collins offers us absolutely nothing I'm afraid. Got by with a few goals, but his general play is lacklustre to say the least.

Ending a winning streak is inevitable.
Someone coming along and taking our unbeaten run is a given.
Today is neither the time, nor the place.  It won't happen.  It can't happen!  Please Lord, Do not allow it to be today... at effin' Wycombe.

I'll assume PW has just done his bit.  I'll thank the players to now step up, and do what is required.

Collins did, just a few seconds too early as he went before NML crossed it. Those are the bits of his game I really want to see improve, if he holds his runs more he’d be more effective

Well this is to the players dont let wycombe win and dont let coughthin leave with a smile let's show this banker know that we are here and we are not going no were him and gibson tried to put us out of business alongside efl but year on we are still here and thriving despite everything in our way. Efl soon learned that we will stand by our club and we wont let it go but will fight for our and we did so side by side with players and will continue to do so.
Some come derby go and show them who is boss and we will go back to champership if they like or not and final back to premiership were we belong.

Not Derby related but it still makes me smile when I think about it.
Wednesday used to play their reserve games at Rotherham's Millmoor and after a lengthy lay-off word got round that Chris Waddle would be playing at least some of the game ( cannot remember against who ) for the reserves.
The stands that were open were virtually sold out and I went with some of my Wednesday mates. Chris played the first half and then was subbed at half time.
About 90% of the crowd went home at half time. He was such a hero at Hillsborough.

The reserve team set up today is all about bringing the youngster through rather than keeping experienced but aging players on the books.
Those of us who watched the reserves in the 1960s and 1970s got the chance to see some famous names in reserve games.

The other day someone posted on a thread that I can’t find now that his cousin – Peter Stone-  had been a reserve player for Derby in the 1960s. I had forgotten Stone but I can see from the records that I must have seen him play many times. It just shows how fallible our memories are. The reserve players I remember are the ones who stayed in the game usually by moving to a smaller club, e.g. Barry Butlin, Cork, Boyer, etc. I followed their careers and it always pleased me to see them doing well elsewhere. I don’t know why but I followed Mick Jones’s career quite closely and I was delighted when he got the job as manager of Telford and disappointed when they went bust shorty after. He ended up with better jobs so it wasn’t such a big thing for him. A few years ago he caused a bit of a controversy when he told a reporter that Derby was no longer the place he remembered from his days as a reserve player. After a long walk around the city he said it had gone a long way downhill and he wasn’t wrong.

We all wish that we had played at least one game in the league. I even envy reserve players who never got a first team game. In the reserves they would have played against some top players and they can always say to their grandchildren that they played against this or that famous player. I can see from the records that Stone played against Stan Bowles when Stan was playing for Man City reserves. I can’t remember anything about that game except that Ralph Brand was also playing for City. I’ve always followed Scottish football and it was an exciting thing for me to see Brand play live. I even went to a Forest game just to see Jim Baxter play. Perhaps Stone can tell his descendants, if he has any, that he had Bowles and Brand in his pocket. I don’t know if he did or not.

One of my favourite reserve games was against Bury in 1975 or 1976. Derby had Alan Hinton, Leighton James and Roger Davies up front. I think Derby beat them 8-0.

Has anyone got any memories of famous players in reserve games?

Thanking about McG’s status in the pantheon. It’s early days, not enough games to cast something in stone but for me a “star striker” needs 2 things .. 20 goals in a league season and/or a consistent strike rate of 1:2
Take out the Mess’s and Ronaldo’s and think about the greats of the English game. Rooney and Shearer are both just either side of that line.
Those are the players that make the history books, that we mention to kids in hushed reverent tones. It is the first step in becoming a legend (other criteria are involved in gaining that title)
Didsy now has 12 in 22 .. He’s getting there and if he stays fit it’s going to be a magical. Can he do it for a full season ?
