He's played most of his career at DM I guess. Possibly not something he's done a massive amount of.
All things considered, you're right, he's doing very well there. It's a bit nuts our strongest back 4 has 1 player in his natural position and yet they're working wonders.

Think the reason that NML is having such an effective season is because he doesn’t have to worry about tracking back to RB with Smith there.

If we still had Bryne there then there’s no way that NML would have the freedom he normally gets up the wing. Let our defenders defend and attackers attack.

Report now up on OS, but just to clarify ...
    Line-up
Derby County Under-18s: Shattell (GK), Moore, Cox, Robinson (C), Perry, Hawkins, Ashia, Moloney (Gough 52), Richards (Simons 81), Brown (Wheeldon 58), Davidson.
"Jaydan Davidson scored a brace for the young Rams, while Carlos Richards and substitute Lennon Wheeldon were also on the scoresheet for Jake Buxton’s side."
     and more importantly....
"The result sees Derby make it six unbeaten and climb off the bottom of the table, leapfrogging Leeds into 11th place."

He has a good record for the U18s since taking the role.
The U18s lost the first 4 games of the season and drew the 6th prior to his appointment. They've lost just once in the 9 games since then (although only 3 wins). It's actually a record which is top 4 material.

On the subject of swearing at a football match, it reminds me of a 'proper' English gentleman who used to sit in the 'A' Stand at the BBG. He was the most biased one eyed Derby fan that I have ever known, he could have given B4 some lessons. Every ref was the worst ref ever, no Derby player ever committed a foul and every tackle on a Derby player should have been a sending off. But his complaints were very strictly old school with a continuous tirade of "you hound referee", "you bounder, referee", "show us your red shirt, referee", "where's your glasses, referee?"  etc, etc.
However, during one particular match, the referee was having a stinker and our dear friend was getting more and more angry, until he finally burst and came out with "referee, refereeee, you're a, you're a, you're a BAST*****************************************D!!!!!!!". The crowd all around him in the 'A' Stand suddenly went quiet and looked at him. He sensed this and shamefully, looked around at everybody looking at him, before spouting "well he is!".

I can understand a slip in the heat of a game to which the said user of the word might realise straight away , be embarrassed and apologise, but to continually use that language around kids is not good , I would not approach him , I would point out to the children it’s the kind of behaviour that’s not acceptable and quietly report him,

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but all kids are going to swear.
Where they learn that is unimportant, but as a parent you should explain to your child that there is a time and place for everything. They will hear swearing at a football match, whether that's from a nearby fan of from 10,000 singing fans.
My advice is to be a parent and deal with it in a low key way rather than making a massive issue out of it.

Its funny you dont really notice it until you take your kids! But not good in a specific family area. If its a one off in heat of moment would let it go but if someone persistent out of character with rest of the area would probably report them.
Always going to get it at football but its everywhere these days, especially school snd online, so are you not going to take them out? At least at football its humorous usually.
We're obsessed with supporting dcfc and have brought both my sons from age of two. Personally I hate swearing for the sake of it. Now mine are old teenagers.  They have always understood to make up their own word for "those" songs (as do I actually!). And we have always had the "what you hear in football stays at football" or you dont go rule. And have always laughed with them at one-off rants - there is nothing my youngest likes more than someone randomly standing up for a mad out of character rant. Similarly his favourite moment was a young kid standing up ranting about someone being a "scallywag".
Mine havent grown up to swear generally in life so dont stress about it too much as you'll spoil it for yourself. There's often enough to be stressed about on the pitch!

You don’t realise how bad the language is until you take a child to the ground.
All you can do is tell the child to ignore the rude words.
You won’t get it stopped so don’t get over anxious about it.  Or if you can’t ignore it, keep away, kids understand it’s wrong if you explain it to them.  They’ll hear the same language in the playground at school at some time and you won’t be there to sort that out.

Weird one, you want to say no as you are surrounded by kids, yet 100 yards away you have a few thousand belting out songs with all kinds of fruity language.
If you want to protect kids ears from words you would rather they didn’t repeat, a football ground isn’t really the place to go I’m afraid.
Saying that, the fan in question should really know better and purchase a ticket in a more suitable stand so it’s not directly into the ear of a minor.

In my personal option this would first be the South Stand. Then probably the upper tier of the current away end so away fans have the choice of sitting or stanading.
Then perhaps two upper tier blocks of the East Stand. I dont think anymore would be needed.

It really isnt allowed under the stadium rules B4. South stand is a seated area. There is no agreement otherwise. As someone just mentioned there were some terrible tragedies that led to all seater stadiums. However, its always been known that fans stand in south stand since the allocations switched around. Same for back rows of other stands. A blind eye is turned. I and most others have no issue with that and get that many want to stand BUT standing in other areas selfishly spoiling the experience for others who have sat there for years and pay good money to do so is just going to lead to a backlash about standing generally. The wide discussion of it will also draw it to the attention of the authorities and as we know they like us to be made an example of.

Let’s not forget there are very good reasons (at least 97 ?) where top flight stadiums were made ‘all seater’ and until official safe standing areas are created the regulations should be obeyed.
Unfortunately we have too many selfish people in society in general, not just in our fan base, who think the world revolves around them and will do what they want.
