I was very dubious about Wayne. Couldn't see it in him. BUT. His calmness on the sideline is wonderful. The simplicity which he seems to have brought to our game, the organisation, asking players to do jobs they're capable of doing well...speaks of a proper manager in the making to me. I saw someone else on here the other day asking if he can recruit at a similar standard. If he can, we're looking golden.
Other factor in the mix is Steve McClaren. Been there, done eveything in the game, but always struck me as more of a coach than a manager. The wingman, not the main event. It may just be that with those two in tandem, we have the best managerial structure since Jim Smith and Steve McClaren, or even since Arthur Cox and Roy Mac. It could be that right at the end of his tenure, Mel has stumbled upon the perfect blend he's been searching for these 5 years. Maybe one more throw of the dice Mel? Please?

I'd sooner have penury under Mel having turned the cash taps off than chance our fate with these pathetic timewasters.
If they wanted the club, had the means to buy it, and the intention to take it forward, they would have done by early January.
If any of those three elements are lacking, they'll do unspeakable harm if they do blag their way into ownership.
By the way...I've seen a few having a go at Mel. Those people have it all wrong. Tragically wrong. Mel is up there with LP as the best owner we've had in my lifetime. Just needed a dash of luck, is all.

First of all thank you for taking the time to send me a pm, it has been a very difficult week and in hindsight not the time to be engaging in forum matters this way. Before I sail off into the sunset please accept my apologies for any rudeness or offence given.
    Kind Regards

Very well played again. Roos with a couple of good saves, rode our luck with the peno, but we ground out the successive wins we desperatey needed.
Can we just get the bloody off-field rubbish straight, bin these time wasters and get a couple of bodies in next week, please?
