Last seasons. We haven't really strengthened that much.

Honestly - sounds like a brilliant fella to have a beer with, maybe make the godfather of your kid if he’s a close mate but on the pitch where it matters, what have you seen? 

Concerned about how we've started this season but not ready to get the knives out yet. 

I want to see some players brought in over the next couple of weeks.

I also want to know what happened to the football we were playing from November to February last season. In that run of games unbeaten we looked good. Where has that gone?

What frustrates me is that we have now kicked off the season and as a squad we don't seem much stronger than last season.

We've brought in a load of defensive players but what we actually needed to strengthen was the midfield and the top end of the pitch.

We needed to bring in creativity, pace, goalscorers and we simply have not done it. We have lost two good players in McGoldrick and Knight and have not replaced them.

Clowes said that Warne has been given a budget which is better than our rivals and one that he thinks is good enough to get us out of this league. So there are little excuses.

If they can only play in one formation they aren't gonna get very far. Managers change formations during games.

They have to learn. He clearly doesn't want them playing sideways or backwards. But they do it anyway.

They have no devine right to go and play at a higher level. They need to show more for Derby County. Bird hardly stood out in League one last season. They need to get their heads down and get this club to where it needs to be.

Exactly. How is this possible in the space of a few days. It's bizarre. To me it just seems like the pressure has got on top of him in the moment. He will regret those comments later on.

They're all feeling the pressure because let's face it none of them are used to it

I don't understand how these players can have their 'heads turned?' By who exactly? We've heard that Hull are interested in Bird but I don't see who else?

Nail on head. You can't play the high tempo football that Warne wants with old and slow players. You can carry the odd one or two but no more than that. We lack that something special in our squad, a bit of guile, pace and creativity.

If you asked me a few weeks ago if I'd have waghorn back I would have said no but at this point I wouldn't be against it. He's better than what we have up top.

Chelsea won the champions League a couple of years ago playing 3 at the back
