Eddie, they have Tynt Meadow in stock according to their website!
Is this the magical potion you were on about, or is it a "lesser brew" so to speak?

You are of course correct Sparkle. I am letting my dislike of Gibson get in the way of sound thinking. Tidy player is Roberts. Hopefully he has a good work ethic.
I think Rooney has an eye for a good work ethic, anyone not putting in a shift-and-a-half is out on his arse.

35% extra on beers. So much for 'free trade'. Basically, we will have to pay 20% VAT on all imports on top of alcohol duty which itself amounts to around 75p per 33 cl bottle of beer.
You'll have to drink good old British beer now like Fosters and Carlsberg.

Cars are appliances to me, it's my work car as do 25k miles a year+the cheapest thing on the list I could have had!
A PHEV with a CO2 rating of 50g/km or less is the best bet for a company car ATM.
You get a 10% BIK and the company gets a 100% first year allowance on the cost of the car.
Only better (and cheaper BIK) bet is a pure electric, but a decent one is £60K+

..... and now you have to search through umpteen menus just to turn down the heater.
Touch screens in cars are a death trap.

Packaging.
Hard plastic packaging that requires a compendium of Stanley knives to open up at the very real risk of slicing a finger to the bone.
Otherwise known as "clamshell" packaging.
If the inventor was a bloke, I hope he traps his foreskin in his zip every day for evermore.

Unfortunately my business is importing and installing high value industrial inspection equipment from Germany.
It nothing short of a disaster. I'm mid way through a project with a Northern Ireland company who are having a machine built in Italy. It's now easier for the NI company to deal with Italy than with me just over the Irish Sea.

Just done some calculation - if I import 24 bottles of Belgian beer at 9% abv, I will have to pay HMRC almost £18 in duty - and that's before the increase in shipping costs etc which will be loaded on to pay for the additional administration and paperwork.
Thanks, B-worders.

@Eddie I received this (assuming it’s Dutch) from work in a Christmas hamper. Is it one you’re familiar with?
Looks like you'd already supped it from the state of the 'photo?

They have no idea Eddie, try running a business where 95% of your raw materials are imported direct from Germany.
Never mind at least they can look forward to being served by a Somalian (instead of a Pole), next time they go into Wetherspoons.

What do you think Boris has been fighting for these past few weeks??
Still going to need an import certificate. DHL or UPS, etc. will charge you at least a tenner extra for that little privilege, (and that's deal or no deal folks)!
Random stuff that people do that annoy me

Not actually a person, but chocolate manufacturers that now (presumably to save a few bob), don't put a "menu" card in the box, but print the details of each delicacy underneath...................
Result = the contents of the box on your lap, bleeding skinflints! ?
