    If you look at problems with the clubs coming down the EFL, if you look at Derby, a classic example, when Mel Morris decided to stop funding, Derby were within a hair’s breadth of going bust. We were lucky with Derby and it was brilliant that David Clowes stepped in. Derby is probably the closest one to actually going into liquidation rather than just into administration.

    Hmm. I suspect a lot of these are going to be from the 70s.
    Best team I’ve seen play has got to be Jim Smith’s so I’ll go for Stimac. At his peak, a top 6, international centre back. Today’s money about £50m. 
    Although, knowing our negotiation team, it’ll be more like £10m and a subscription to Shoot magazine.

    What would you have said if Dobbin hadn't scored - say headed over like he has done previously. Or Smith missed more than one sitter?
    You'd just say 'well at least the fullback got into the box...'
    Your prerogative, mine is to say I'd prefer Smith to stay in defence and for someone else to get into the box as he hasn't scored for 5 years and is as prolific as Dobbin.
    PS I'm still a Rams fan in case you think otherwise.

    An uneven performance but the kind of game we might have drawn, or even lost not so long ago, even allowing for our relative dominance. Another clean sheet will doubtless please the gaffer and another 3 points in the bag, even more so. Winning ugly isn't the worst habit to have in a league like this so it's good to see us grinding out the odd result these days.
