Again all you say is indeed true, however like i said MA will play the waiting game and it will be take it or leave it scenario,he is not one bit concerned about the creditors they will end up taken around 10p in the pound if there lucky plus payment plan to the HMRC but all this saves DCFC moving forward

The longer this drags on the longer we have a big chance of going into liquidation the HMRC bill as already gone from 28m to 36m since administration and chuck on top the bill from Q about another 5m

He may play the waiting game but as you say he will offer minimal amount but have you considered that they have been offered 35% over 3 years by one bidder,if other bidders don't offer the same to creditors they may just tell him to go away, don't think for a minute it is cut and dried. It may be a leave it scenario.

That is as maybe does not alter the fact he as the money to write a cheque today and take us out of administration yes we will end up with possible -15 points next season as he will want to pay the creditors way below the 25p in the pound threshold, but at least we will still have a club

Lets see what 5.00pm brings but to be honest i am not getting over excited about CK

No doubt he has the money to write a cheque today but if he wants to pay the creditors way below the 25p then the administrators have to go back to the creditors to accept it or not,it is not just a case of accepting his offer no matter how much spouting off he is doing in the media.

MA is playing the waiting game he is clever and switched on for sure,he can see were the CK deal is going and the money is there to save us from liquidation, this needs sorting either way as we wont have a team to even put on the field at this rate

Never been sure that CK as the funds going forward yes he is rich in commodities but not cash rich according to wikki he only as a net value personally of 5.6m which is the complete opposite to MA

No doubt MA is used to getting his way when buying distressed businesses from administrators but this time it isn't working so he is using the media to stir things up.

It basically balls down to a simple point.  is it a legitimate going concern to keep it going at an expense of a few hundred thousand a month with a number of 17 year olds playing or is that money that could be paid out to creditors as there is no chance of a future.  Better to get in the season ticket and sponsorship money to pay there fees and repay short term loans from this season,  sell any under contract assets to reduce creditor costs and drag it on for another season possibly selling any youngsters who look promising in the first team in January.   The most likely scenario.  Lots of cut price selling and loans for the season with fees for knight, Bird, Cashin, Bielik.  All those without contracts out the door.  Rooneys wage gone and academy team and coaches as the first team.  The only way to fulfil fixtures for next year as it stands. Two weeks to get this sorted.  The parameters are much in place but start fiddling with it and two weeks is nowhere near enough.

It is not a case of "fiddling with it", if MA makes an offer to the creditors which is lower than that accepted under CK's offer then the administrators are legally bound to go back to the creditors to see if they will accept it. Whoever,if it comes to it, will not get a new deal over the line in a matter of days unless it is the same offer to the creditors as CK's.

Sounds like it could be a scenario that Dawes said on t’wireless, a first past the post race. Who can get there 20 million cleared first. MA or CK?

If,as been alleged,MA has not made a bid, surely he has to do that First with the administrators then putting his offer to the creditors. It is not just who gets the money cleared First.

This is what MA does, no surpise there, he's going to shaft the creditors, done it for years. To say that Q is not at fault is pushing it a bit far. if the yank buying Chelsea can do a bank xfer for 2.5 bn surely 30 odd mill should not be too tricky.

It is all well and good saying MA is going to shaft the creditors. If,as folk are speculating,we get a 15 point deduction that means the creditors are not going to get anywhere near the required %  to escape a points deduction, the creditors are not forced to accept it,why should they when one bidder has offered 35% over 3 years, they are in a position to say one bidder offered this if the others don't then no deal.

The administrators would have to set a budget based on expected income and any player sales would be used to pay off debts or interest on debts.

Our budget would still be bigger than half of the division.

That would all depend on the criteria the EFL enforce.

Is CK looking for a way out !

He must have funds they have already been checked by EFL

There is the possibility he may well have the funds, which is all the EFL will want to see at the start of the process, now it's getting to the signing of contracts they may,and i say may, might now want to know if those funds are legitimate.

You can see why the EFL are perhaps getting a little unsettled with the new season approaching and nothing sorted yet.

We will find out soon enough.

No sane business man would exchange contracts without somewhere to play.

This is far from a "normal" transaction,he may have been told the ground is not a problem to find the rug pulled from beneath his feet.

    Pure speculation of course.

Well I am not a fan of negativity from some posters but CK himself  says it was EFL who set the deadline of 31 May due to the fixtures being released in two weeks time. Isn't that an implied threat from EFL that if CK (or someone else ) doesn't complete pronto then Derby could be thrown out of the League? If so, then Ashley may be a necessary evil if CK is taking too long?

I just wonder if MA is the issue, MM can sell PP to whoever he wishes and that includes MA, who could stall CK's takeover then steps in at the 11th hour and gets the club on the cheap. It doesn't have to be revealed who the new owner is and we may never find out. I don't think CK will be high on MM's list to get the club out of administration after his comments regarding MM. DIdn't someone post earlier that MA had been in contact with the EFL.

just me adding 2+2 and making 5.
