Frustrating, nobody had a good game , including the ref, she's been decent before so I’m going to put it down to a bad day as she seemed to get carried along with the game rather than be on top of it ,
wycombe were horrible sneaky , niggly out to frustrate desperate for something from the game and to be honest they got it , the rush of early yellows put us on a tightrope where we really couldn’t give it back or impose ourselves in midfield , collective poor performance but we should have nicked the win , move on to the next game which is big in my view ( probably all are now 🤷🏻‍♂️) , a win and we are still right in the mix

Yes she was really poor, as poor as the usual tripe we get. Way below the standards she set when she’s previously reffed us. Been on here saying she was the best ref we had last season.

She dished out 6 yellow cards in the first half hour!! And it wasn’t a dirty game! There’s no going back from that. The Sibley one was a joke. The NML wasn’t a yellow in my view, strikers tackle if you give one like that you give it later in the game not so early. She didn’t need to give the yellows to leahy and Collo, she didn’t give yellows twice in first half to Wycombe players when she should’ve done for bad tackles, once when she played advantage (rightly despite the boos) and should’ve gone back to book the Wycombe player. Bird Hourihane decisions spot on, penalty is a debatable one, soft decision but down to interpretation so some blame there but not much, and then what about where she accidentally blocked the Derby attack and gave Wycombe the f****** ball on the restart!! 🤬
The really big calls she might have got just about right but her management of the game was hopeless!!

No issues with the penalty on seeing it live but thought the game was managed absolutely terribly from a refereeing point of view. Sibley and NML yellows just nonsense which set the stall out meaning she had to book Vokes later on when I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t have even heard her whistle. It is easy to say the big decisions were right but the little decisions being wrong has far more of an effect on how the game plays out.
I remember back when we were in the Championship and you got a Prem ref for the day the difference in quality was noticeable.

I was quite pleased to see her before the game. At the end, I never want to see her again. What a dreadful, inconsistent shocker of a ref

It’s all relative , there’s players in league 1 who are athletes and talented footballers for this level , stick them in the prem you want to compare with and they are just athletes

    Exactly.
I'm yet to hear a manager in December say that they will have a fantastic January transfer window, everyone get hyped.
The less he says, the less he can be pulled up on if things don't materialise as he hoped, then used as a stick to beat him with.

Easy to get players, difficult to get the right players at a reasonable price.
He's just setting expectations, which is sensible. I think jumping straight to ''these are excuses'' already is a little unfair. He's proved doubters wrong on the field in recent weeks, maybe we should wait and see what happens before judging?

If you look at the mix of players signed there have been mainly older players to do a job for now but the younger ones, Fornah, Wilson and JJ(only a loan I know but maybe with a view to a permanent) and arguably Ward(27 when he signed and a 3 year contract) aren’t just athletes. They are all athletes of course but they can also play and have quality. So for me that evidence doesn’t support an argument that we are only after big strong lads who can run about and are physical but have no skill

You mean like Wilson or ward or nyambe or fornah ,,,, again this is a silly twist to beat warne with ,,, it’s very clear and has been for some time successful footballers have to be athletes first and foremost, you only have to look at the stick given to hourihane by some ( unfairly a lot of the time in my view ) over work rate and distance covered in games to see the contradiction in terms,,, personally I want athletes who are good footballers at the club , it creates unity on the pitch and the training field 🤷🏻‍♂️

Every game is starting to feel 'big' or maybe important is a better word. Any points dropped will be punished by a number of the teams around us atm.

This is the bit I don’t get about this whole thread and your own stance in starting it.
What is it that has you so convinced Clowes isn’t the right owner for the club? Is it the reported value of his personal fortune and nothing else? And what is it that makes you certain there is a perfect owner out there that isn’t Clowes? Who are they? Where are they?
I don’t follow your assertions that Clowes can’t take the club forward and that there must be some wealthy American white knight to swoop in, I find your comment that people on here don’t care as disingenuous to many who are waiting a little longer to see what the progress of the club is under Clowes ownership before deciding whether he is or is not the one to take it forward.

Think the real issue isn’t people who arnt fully onboard with warne , I get that , can respect it if it’s put out there with reasonable reason or even gut feeling , the issue is certain posters whose attacks on warne have bordered on obsession with personal attacks and total destruction of what the bloke has achieved at this leve ( the level we are at ) , those posters never give credit when it’s fairly due with the bad all down to warne but the good in spite of him or pure accident,
I think they are fair game for a bit of stick back but they seem to have gone into lurk mode until we lose a couple as we surely will over the rest of the season and for me if he gets us up he has earnt a crack at the championship, that’s not short term thinking it’s just how I roll

Its an online forum, posts can seem a bit black and white, there's no nuance like you get with a conversation in the workplace or pub.
We can't read every post so use the report function if you think it warrants it.

I do believe that people generally are less tolerant then ever based on my own experience at work. Everyone seems stressed out and close to breaking point probably due to the horrendous cost of living and all the fear porn on the news every night.

Me neither. I never wanted him in the first place, but having dumped a guy who offered continuity, I just didn't fancy another leap into the unknown so early in the season and neither, it would seem, did Mr Clowes.
That said, I do feel encouraged about our prospects this year, given the recent upturn in form and after some difficult years for the club and fans alike, I intend to take as much pleasure and enjoyment from the good the runs as I can. I have some longer term doubts, but I'll worry about promotion from the Championship when we get there.

I think you make a good point and I think he has become a bit defensive , I don’t think he’s daft enough to think it’s ALL the fanbase but I do think he may be using the fact that he and the players have a point to prove to the vocal borderline abusive minority, ive no prob with that🤷🏻‍♂️
