Because football changes, you hear about it very little but all it takes is a club last minute putting a late higher wage offer and the player does a u turn. It happens a lot more than you would think. The people that tell me stuff I trust 100% that they are reputable.

Sometimes you get told stuff from a reasonable source, but it doesn't materialise. It doesn't mean it's bullpoo.
You can show people round, enter talks, agree wages etc but they still may not sign. Stuff falls through.
If people want certainty just wait for DCFC to tell you and don't read this thread.

We wanted Kane Wilson from Bristol but looks set to go to Bolton, it’s fine because we’re getting Joe Ward instead :)

Just pure speculation here, but I would guess it’s because Ward is coming instead. Both players very capable and probably too good to be competing with each other. Just my take on it. Also Bolton seem to be splashing the cash a bit this season, who can you blame when the leagues as poor as it is

Sounds like a good change for the youth football, there’s lots of lads who just get held back extra years to play for the u21s, think Ethan Wassel for us. Knew he’d never make it but just kept him on when he could’ve left and rebuilt himself earlier
