SaffyRam reacted to Jayram in Bad behaviour by Derby (& coventry) fans again
It’s not so much that but it’s their general behaviour. At Brentford a couple of seasons ago I and a mate went to our seats only to find a couple of these Stone Island wearing pipsqueaks sitting there initially refusing to budge. It was only when I basically told them I’d remove them myself that they eventually slouched off. It put me on edge because it could quite easily have gone wrong and while I can handle myself I shouldn’t have to get into this sort of crap with fellow Rams fans. They have no respect for other Derby fans, standing up all game in front of older people who have no option but to stand themselves even if they are physically struggling to do so and spending the entire match facing the nearest home fans giving it the big one. Something has got to be done because they are actively ruining decent Rams fans away days. Absolute ******** the lot of them.

Anyone trying to enter a football ground wearing Stone Island or one of those ridiculous looking jackets with goggles in the hood should be strip searched, including a full anal cavity inspection.
Then charge them an extra £100 to enter and made to bring their mum to sit next to.
I have a bald patch and hair that's receding like the English coastline, even that doesn't come close to the embarrassment that I would feel leaving the house with a Stone Island badge slapped on my arm.

I'll make one statement on this, as I appreciate this is a football thread in a football forum, but this is part of the society we have created in the past six or seven years - and it will get a whole lot worse before it gets better. People are angry and that anger comes out more and more, plus people with extreme views feel legitimised for the first time in a generation to openly vocalists those views. Football is just a very convenient place for it to be released.

It's all a bit pathetic, but if clubs and the authorities don't get a grip, ordinary fans will drift away again.

Some of you may know Mark and Alex, they are at most games. This is totally unacceptable. ?

My mate was there with his son today. Absolutely sick of these poxy little coked up chav ******** - they are ruining the away day experience for ordinary fans. I know every club has got them but it’s getting worse.

I hear that about the Coventry fans, but it’s still not acceptable to retaliate. Our fans need to stay sensible.

SaffyRam reacted to Red Ram in Bad behaviour by Derby (& coventry) fans again
Yep this is why I no longer go away B4. I know it's a minority who cause issues but I'd rather sit with the home fans if it was possible to do so. Used to go away with my Dad sometimes but he's in his 80s and can't stand for 90 minutes. People just used to stand up in front of him so he couldn't see anything. I'd like to see the away end divided up into half sitting half standing so that everyone's preferences/needs can be accommodated.

I'm a Sky Blue... Born Chaddy and moved to North of Coventry at the age of 2. Not sure I'm allowed a second team but have always looked out for your results and been a bit narked that DCFC never seem to make the big time despite the fantastic fan base. My first game was a 0-0 in 1974 FA Cup tie at Highfield Rd. Went today. I agree with this comment and as the second half went on it looked like County would draw level. A brief moment of entertainment in the stands was the side show before the goal. Derby looked big in defence and fair play for commanding the best part of the second half. City had a penalty call but it was waived away. Hit the bar and had a goal disallowed. But Derby were worth their draw. Hope off the pitch problems get sorted out so that you stay up.

Excellent point away to a top 6 team. Only 6 points off the drop with 96 points still available?

SaffyRam reacted to Yani P in Rams vs Coventry (A) Matchday Thread
2nd half we were way the better team which is a pleasant change for us...well worth the point and could easily have pinched all 3..that is a superb point against a team that had a 100% home record..again great fight by the lads..great vocal support from our fans..onwards and upwards..

SaffyRam reacted to Gee SCREAMER !! in Derby finally accept 21 point deduction.
The way it is. My dad won't go to games at the minute due to risk of illness complications but has spent £250 quid this week on crap made of static and cobwebs from the club shop. He's been a regular since about 1963 till the last couple of years and when they were terrible in the early 80's went home and away. Are Newcastle a big club. When I went there in 1991/92 they were averaging 13-16k a game and they were nowhere near the position were in. Leeds were filling less than half there ground 10 years ago. When I went to Sunderland in 2007 they beat us and went top and the entire top deck of there stands was closed. You won't be averaging 20k at any other club in this division if they were where we are. With covid and a team full of kids and freebies with a 12 point deduction and more to come and practically no attacking options our gates have dropped around 20% from when we were flying .

SaffyRam reacted to SirBrian in English Football League Board Grave Concerns of Two Appointments
Below are a couple of emails I have sent and received between Pauline Latham OBE MP and myself. I think it is important to highlight the concerns noted below to your local MPs and particularly anybody in Mrs Latham’s constituency as from her email, she is following the situation of Derby and the EFL very closely and has noted the points I have made.
Email sent to Pauline Latham OBE MP – Mid-Derbyshire constituency:
Part of the email received from Mrs Latham:
I’ve been reading this forum for years, finally decided to create an account as I am a passionate Rams fans. The EFL stand on their alleged morals of being fit and proper, how can Peter Risdale be fit and proper to hold a position on the board of the EFL???

He passed the ball beautifully most of the game.

SaffyRam reacted to cosmic in Who would you like as new DCFC owner?
Have to wonder about Sam Rush given we now know we shouldn’t have trusted a single word that came out of Morris’ mouth.

I saw OB say on Twitter that it’s fine at the moment because the new guys are under contract until January.

SaffyRam reacted to plymouthram in Jozwiak
I think Kamil Jozwiak is class, he just seems a little lost in the Derby set up. Always plays decent for Poland. Played well in most games this season, could get better when his mate is back in the team.

SaffyRam reacted to DerbyGeordie in Derby County Administration (with the slight possibility of Liquidation still there)
Still 9th. Doesn't matter when they were, and in the Sky-PL age we've challenged and been regulars in European competitions before him.
It wasn't, Benitez galvanised the club, offered hope and is a top class manager. Look at what he's achieving with Everton having only spent £2m(?). Ashley had the chance to kick on, without spending big and willingly chose not to.
Perhaps, but when an owner skims off the top to the point where it's to the detriment of the club it's not good. It's only paper talk and I know you'll take almost anyone with the club almost on it's knees but I hope that it isn't Ashley. I don't know if there's anyone else in the running, I hope there is. Someone better.
Anyway, I truly wish you, others on this board and the whole of DCFC nothing but the best, assuming I forget my login details, which I probably will. You should come through this, too much of a standing in the game to not. I hope.
