BaaLocks got a reaction from Carl Sagan in I despise Children In Need
Before I start, I absolutely admire anyone who does anything - however wacky - to raise money for the wonderful causes that Children In Need supports.
But, and it's a huge but, I find it skin crawlingly distasteful that celebrities come on television and ask us all to give cash because our society isn't able to support those in need. Then, at the end of the night, we somehow find it a thing of wonder that we have extracted millions of pounds from the British public to fund wonderful initiatives that we otherwise felt fell outside our fiscal and social responsibility.
It's just wrong, and we all (including me) fall for it every year because we also know that if we didn't fund these charities then they wouldn't get funded at all.

There's only one person to blame for all of this, one..
He's lied to us, conned us and left us high and dry.
The EFL are applying rules that are in place for every single club.
We've lost more than we should.
Morris tried to flount the rules, failed and left us.
Putting us in administration was the final nail.
But if you wanna sing F the EFL for applying punishments to us for breaking rules that we knew were there and knew what the punishment would be then go ahead.

Some might say the EFL did what was expected of them - if Mel had been left to carry on without being challenged by bodies like the EFL the who knows what sort of a glorious mess he might have put us in. -21 points is the least of our worries given where Mel has left the club financially and is so much less than could have happened if he had kept on making the 'Las Vegas' bets, aligned with his belief he could dance his way out of this with smart accounting, he got in the mode of undertaking.

Maybe Rashford thinks he can do better things with his money than the UK Government can, that was kind of the point of the post taken to the ultimate end point.
I've long said if I had my time again I would stand to be an MP (I wouldn't but bear with me) and my 'thing' would be variable taxation. We have a base level of tax, which is needed to cover the running of the country - schools, infrastructure, police, etc - and then individuals can elect to pay more tax (indeed are encouraged to) but they have a say where that tax goes. For example, I pay the base 25% but I can elect to pay another 5% as long as it goes to the NHS. And for the most wealthy those numbers are published and made available to all.

The opposite, no? I don't think @BaaLocks resents the contributions he makes but rather the socio-political circumstances that necessitate them.
Also, he's contributing irrespective, so there's that...

I’d rather the beeb spend money in this or some other home grown sport than spend money on the NFL , a rich foreign sport. That should be left to the commercial channels .

BaaLocks got a reaction from MikeS in RamsTrust
Anyone can join Ramstrust, anyone can stand for any position in Ramstrust - it is anything but a closed shop. And I kind of agree with @sage on this one, it sometimes feels like fans expect to be asked to approve everything they do but it seems there are very few who actually want to do the work needed to write up the statements, engage with the club and fans. If you don't like how Ramstrust, or any other supporter body, operates then join and help it be what you want it to be. If you don't, you've kind of snookered yourself. But the point remains, even if many don't feel it is the case, RT never can claim to be more than the voice of their members. And I don't think the club or anyone who takes a moment to think about it could see it any other way.

Even those that revile Coldplay still have to admit they have some talent. Savage is utterly bereft of it, even more so off the pitch.

A lawyer representing a wealthy art dealer called him and said “Mate, I have good and bad news for you”
The art dealer replied, “I’ve had a terrible day, give me the good news first.”
“Well”, he said, “ I met with your wife yesterday and she told me she had bought two pictures for £5000 and she thinks they might be worth £5- 10 million !”
“Fantastic woman, my wife, and a very smart businesswoman too!” said the art dealer. “What’s the bad news?”
The lawyer replied, “the pictures are of you banging your secretary”

BaaLocks got a reaction from Kathcairns in Alan Nixon Breaks Silence on American Billionaire Bid
I'd struggle to think of any Derby fan who would want to do this as death by a thousand points deductions. There is no logical reason, only solution is to take it all, get the slate cleared and move on. Yes, we will have to drop down to League One, yes it is not guaranteed we will bounce back immediately but Wolves, Leeds, Coventry, Southampton and others have shown you can rebuild from that position. Many will quote Sunderland, Portsmouth, Bolton and Sheff Wed but they will all come back in time - as will we.

You never actually buy a cat, you just pay money to have an animal in your house
