The original post referred to this
And my 'in the know' and musically intelligent response highlighted my own knowledge of 1970s punk (even though The Stranglers never liked to be considered as such) musical catalogues. Well, it made me feel clever....

You're not really responding to the point I made, but I take the one you make. The point, actually, is that while Cocu has done all of the above the results and, more worryingly, the style of play lead some to conclude you wouldn't be wanting to give a manager money to spend when many on here believe his time is up (not this forum decides but you get my point).
If Mel is giving him the cash it suggests he still believes in the long term plan and we can close the 'Next Manager' thread for a few more weeks. I actually hope Mel is right and I'd love to see a bit of faith and composure but it's totally forgivable to not be in that mindset after what we all saw at the weekend.
There's much to love about the plan - academy, stability, growth - but you would have to be more than naive to not notice that at the moment that the one element that is missing is the one that really matters, being able to win a football match.

If we're signing him for what he gets up to at 3:55 then he's got a long queue to get behind first.
With no reflection on his ability as a footballer but if that is his highlights reel he needs a new agent.

After Saturday it will be an interesting dilemma Mel is in at the moment, and what happens over the next couple of weeks will be indication on his true feelings of whether Cocu is the man. He got badly burned by the panic buying under Clement and the last thing he will want to do now is bring in a load of players that the next chap is going to immediately get rid of.

Now then ladies and gentleman... firstly I hope you are all well and secondly sorry for the mother of rants which is about to unfold...
As some may be aware from the ‘new parents’ thread I made last year I am lucky enough to now be the father of the most incredible little lady this planet has ever seen, also from that thread some of you may be aware that the pregnancy wasn’t all plain sailing.
Unfortunately neither does the living side seem to be. Our daughter had corrective surgery to save her life at 1 day old... in the next 44 days before coming home she would go on to have 5 collapsed lungs, 2 cardiac arrests, 1 blood transfusion, 7 ventilations, 2 more surgeries and numerous amount of pain relief/medication.
last Friday though everything was brilliant and me and my wife were finally able to bring her home... the next few days were the best of my life and something that we were robbed of for the first month and a half of her life, we had numerous visitors and for to introduce her to her family.
on Tuesday we went to the park with our other daughter as quite understandably she was quite overwhelmed and a bit jealous about her new little sister... whilst at the park I was feeding Clara-Leisa who subsequently stopped breathing and vomited blood through her mouth and nose. I had to do CPR in the middle of the park on her as the air ambulance (absolutely amazing) and 2 road ambulances turned up.
Thankfully I managed to get her breathing again and the incredible paramedics and drs kept her going and she’s on the mend.
i don’t really know the purpose of this post but just felt it would possibly help to have a Release.
photo’s included of how she is today as I realise what I’ve written is traumatic and we could be a lot worse...

We often forget that most boxers come from dark places and can frequently be rather unpleasant people inside and/or outside the ring. With Gervonta Davis you are constantly reminded in everything he does.

Agree on that, even Thanos looks glass jawed compared to Alvarez. But the Saunders that fought David Le Mieux was something else, he utterly schooled him that night. If that fighter gets in the ring he's got a chance but the problem is you get one good two bad one OK two bad one excellent two more average with Billie Joe.

You're sometimes better off saying nothing. Especially publicly . Within your team tell yourself whatever you need to.
Blame being overweight. A career high. Say you felt too heavy.
