I posted an opinion. It’s not my only opinion. Stay tuned, I might have another one in a bit 😘

Not writing off his career at all , Cashin has good attributes and is all heart i can see that...he's coped well against some good players but as i said pace is an issue, its also cost us a few times this season but saying that some last minute tackles have prevented some goal attempts.
In a 3 with more mobile CB's yes maybe but although he's still fairly new to senior level football it also means that as time goes on teams may well be  putting a rapid striker or winger up against Cashin meaning we can't defend too high therefore making our  press less effective and more difficult.
I really like Roberts and think he will get even better when he has more freedom to bomb on rather than worrying about covering but agree Roberts Cashin a more mobile Right sided CB and a proper RB would look good on paper

Yes Ipswich were dynamic in their approach to the game, they were physically stronger and quicker than us for much of the game.
The thing the wrist slashers and manager out sections amongst us, seem to be ignoring is the fact we had a perfectly good goal disallowed. How the game would have unfolded at 1-1, no one can say.
If we had finished with a one all result, against what some believe to be the best team in the division, how many unused sharp objects would still be safely packed away in the bathroom cabinet
Lets also remember this was against a team that was strengthened in the January transfer window, is on a good run of form and is being predicted by some pundits to be top of the division come the end of the season.
Will the aforementioned sections please sit back and take a moment to reflect on where we as a football club are right now. We could easily not have a club to moan about.
Yes I, like every Derby fan wants to see us play sparkling football, to return to the Championship and higher as quickly as possible. But we are where we are, having to cope with the severe transfer restrictions imposed on upon the club.
For a team that was cobbled together of nothing at the start of the season, has it over or under achieved?
I'm happy we are even in the mix for the chance of getting promotion. At the start of the season I just hoped we wouldn't be dragged into a relegation dog fight and been content for us to see the season out in mid-table mediocrity. Giving the club time to reorganize after a traumatic few years.

Hirst (24), Chaplin (26), Burns (28) and Broadhead (24). You're just not going to get the same out of Didzy (34), Collins (32) and NML (30). Knight is the only one who presses well and it's not really surprising is it? He's 22. You're comparing apples to pears.
The last statement is just mental really isn't it. Warne won't be able to do anymore with our press until he's able to bring in some players who can do it for 90 mins.

Can we please stop scrutinising Warne! Look at it this way. David Clowes has put faith in Warne to get us up and given him a big contract. He’s had his hands tied this year and will in the summer. Let’s get behind the team and Warne, instead of finding fault at every available opportunity.

No there isn't. This poor little hard done to Derby, picked on by refs and the EFL narrative has to stop. It's pathetic and even though it's a minority view it is one which makes us all look like conspiracy loons and reflects badly on us as a fanbase.

I don't think the ref today was against us he was just a clown.
I mean we should have been down to 10 after 2 minutes -that would have been game over. He didn't book Rooney for the pro foul, he didn't book Chaplin for the louganis.
His mate the lino called a foul to disallow our goal from 40 yards away. He let the Ipswich time-wasting go for pretty much the entire game when it was 1-0.
    Just a clown show (again).

Disallowing Cash's goal utterly deflated the team today. That's not the refs fault, it's down to managing the morale of the squad, but you have to wonder if we're ever going to get a decision in our favour.
The push on Knight would have been a touch soft, but it's the type of pen that's been given against us time and time again this season. How many of us instantly waited for the whistle when Chaplin went down like he's been shot? Where was the booking?
I don't think there's a conspiracy from the EFL down, we're more than capable of sabotaging our own season, but the level of officiating is beyond abysmal.

My husband comes to all matches and has season ticket mainly not to be abandoned but isnt a mad Derby fan. He is down to earth and laughs at our bias but keeps saying this season that an EFL or a match fixing scandal will come to light.
I dont mind losing fair and square (well I do) but too many matches this season have been totally affected by bad officiating around inconsistencies, failing to deal with cheating (their goalie knew he wouldnt have bottle to card him again for same time-wasting today) and incorrect decisions.

And earlier in the season he had us on a lengthy unbeaten run.
Our form at the moment is bad, we were never going to have it all our own way this season. Losing to Ipswich, who are one of the better sides in this division after having time (and money) to build and shape their squad.
Getting rid of Warne at this point would just be more of the short-termism that has plagued the club in the past, we have to be a bit braver in sticking to a project and Clowes seems keen to do that with Warne as the manager.
If we don’t go up this season it won’t be the end of the world, as rubbish as it might feel. Warne and the backroom staff are planning and recruiting for next season, we will start next season (whichever league we’re in) with a more balanced squad set to play the way Warne wants.
We, as fans, could try a different approach too. By all means say how rubbish it is at the moment but then without the need for shortsighted knee jerk tantrums.

Agree. I'm just happy to still have a club to support for now. For me this season was always about making sure we don't fall through this division as well, consolidating our position and being competitive. I would have been more than happy with top 10, so everything else has been a bonus. No bitterness or disappointment if we don't go up or make the playoffs.

Can't disagree, sadly.  Still, who knows?  We might get our groove back on against a footballing side and surprise them - and ourselves!  Hope springs eternal.  I'm still reassuring myself that at least we have a team to go and support and a manager, who despite some limitations, I've really warmed to as a human being - if not a master tactician.  If we fall short this season, so what?  With a little leeway from the EFL (😂), we can start to rebuild with players that fit the model Warne wants to play in order to get out of this tinpot division.  Tension beginning to build now.  🤞

The direct quote from DC is “within 5 years we want to be established in the championship and then perhaps thinking of the next step. But the important thing, above everything else, is just to have a stable and healthy football club”
How can you question what his ambition is when he’s stated it in print? I take from that he wants us to be promoted and stable in the league above within 5 years. That might mean promotion this year, or next, or even after that, so long as the club is healthy and thriving.

I'd have loved to see either MM or the administrators challenge our punishments in court, I suspect that we'd still be in the championship.
Remember, we were given a 9 point penalty for a practice that wasn't illegal until February of last year. In addition, other clubs have been allowed a relaxation of financial practises due to COVID, no such allowance had been given to Derby. Other clubs have been allowed to bring action against Derby, against League rules.
