Please Mr Warne don't mess about with the team like this on Saturday, lets just get the game won and don't take any risks. Yeh if someones struggling with fitness make a change, but dont just make a change for changes sake 🤷♀️

Agree. I'd like to keep Joe, but his rushes of blood leading to two penalties have been odd. I feel his overall confidence and command helps the defence, meaning I'm extremely happy he's regained the shirt. And his game management when we've needed it has been excellent. But if he does want to leave he's not irreplaceable.
We got him for next to nothing, as was the same for Ryan Allsop who I thought a better keeper. It's a position where there is always another one along if you need.

How do you force limited companies to share revenues with other limited companies? It's another voice at the table, ultimately a powerful one, but there is going to be a long-drawn out war before anything is decided.
For what it's worth, I can see why we would want to upgrade the goalkeeper position ahead of next season. Wildsmith has been good for us, often very good, but Vickers is clearly the number two in mind and had the number one shirt prior to his injury. It's not uncommon for teams, especially after promotion to League One, to upgrade their goalkeeper. Ipswich did it last season, where Christian Walton was outstanding - 23 clean sheets, 35 goals conceded in 46 games.... he hasn't started a league game this season.
Wildsmith was beyond excellent in our biggest game of the season, he deserves all the credit, but he's not been faultless this season.

I guess this had been coming, with the rumours earlier in the season that he'd fallen out with Warne.
Was the rift because Wildsmith had already rejected a contract offer from the club?
Or maybe he was dropped during the contract negotiations as a way of sending a message that you're not worth the money you're asking for.
I don't expect to hear anymore on this until the season's over and the club may potentially make an improved contract offer based on his performances at the end of the season

In my opinion this match is THE most important one of the season. Win and we are 7 points clear which Bolton will have to get something out of 3 of their 7 games left. Draw and it is still squeeky bum time. We must not lose. Approach this one right from the start and I believe we have one foot in the promotion door. Draw and we have one toe in the door. Lose we have one knacker in the door! UTR.

Screw Carlsberg - the Pompey losing their next couple scenario is a De Halve Maan Brewery scenario.

That response was regarding GOC team selections for both halves, not what Warne has done in the past

Fozzy is coming back off an injury break. Please please let’s play him at CB or (if we must) play Bradley and have F on the bench as injury cover for the other 3 CBs for the rest of the season.
I don’t understand why we would now change away from 3 at the back … the last 4 or so games we’ve seen how well it suits our wide players (well, not so much against Bolton…)

Waghorn and Mendez-Laing starting the game in a 5212. Waghorn off in the 2nd half, with Washington and Blackett-Taylor seeing the game out in a 523. If we're a couple up, we could rest Mendez-Laing and play Sibley further forward.
Starting 11
Wildsmith
Nelson Forsyth Cashin
Ward Smith Hourihane Sibley
Adams
Waghorn Mendez-Laing
Finishers
Wildsmith
Nelson Forsyth Cashin
Wilson Thompson Adams Elder
Sibley Blackett-Taylor
Washington

Wildsmith
Nelson Forsyth Cashin
Ward Smith Adams Sibley
Mendez-Laing Blackett-Taylor
Waggy
Subs: Evans, Bradley, Wilson, Elder, Tommo, Hourihane, Washington
Id prefer Ward to start ahead of Wilson, even tho Wilson played great on Saturday when he came on. Like to see Ward whipping those crosses in. Blackett-Taylor to start too, lets see what he can do. Washington on the bench, if we keep him fit its like a new signing.

We won the game fair and square, got the 3 points and Bolton got none. That’ll do for me.
Next.

Too right, next season is not on the agenda yet, get promoted then worry about that! Regards going up, I’ve never felt so confident as now, it’s not just today’s result (of which we didn’t play very well and rode our luck) it’s more the togetherness of the team and how they are fighting and pulling together, today the players new it wasn’t there best performance, but no way were they going to concede a goal. I think it’s this togetherness that’s going to get us over the line, who really cares how well we play at this stage of the season, just win games!!

BaianoPOTY98 got a reaction from Ellafella in Derby V Bolton: Player Ratings
1Wildsmith 9.5 Two world class saves that effectively won us the match, not had much confidence in him lately, but wow what a performance yesterday
35Nelson 9 Mr consistent, never seen him have a bad game
3Forsyth 9 First start for weeks, great game and needs to start every week alongside Cash and Nelson
6Cashin 9.5 just edged it for me over Nelson and Forsyth, blocked everything
23Ward 7 thought he was unlucky to be subbed at half time, just goes to show what I know 🙈
2Wilson 8.5 what a substitution, he’ll never play a better 45 minutes than that
32Adams 9 worked tirelessly for 90 minutes, was a real thorn in Boltons side
4Hourihane 4 sorry but he just hasn’t got the legs to start games anymore
16Thompson 7.5 must be close now to getting a start, a real bundle of energy
17Sibley 7 not his best game but worked hard
20Elder 7 crossed for the goal and must be pushing for a start
7Barkhuizen 6 was quiet yesterday after a good couple of performances
10Waghorn 6 worked hard but still doesn’t look match fit
25Gayle 6 I’ve said all along great signing if we can keep him fit, just hope Collins or Wash are back soon
12Smith 7 worked hard when he came on, either him or Tommo has to start alongside Adams
11Méndez-Laing 8 his tracking back has improved 100 per cent from when he first arrived, was also our most dangerous player
would like to see CBT get some more game time, especially with our strikers dropping like flies
