PistoldPete got a reaction from Derby4Me in Where you at with the 5 stages of grief
I think I have been at acceptance stage since we went into admin... really if the wish fairy had said due to cutbacks she could only offer two wishes instead of three, one of them would be to ensure we still have a club even if we have to accept dropping into League One.
I always thought we had a good case against the 12 point deduction but was never sure whether it would make any difference to us as we had so many other problems anyway, and so it seems to be turning out.
My anger is at the whole situation, and by no means do I only blame Mel Morris. The whole system is corrupt, including the Sky TV money, the EFL, the Government closing the stadium without compensating the club . Maybe HMRC now if they are playing hard ball. So that anger certainly hasn't passed.

The guy who did the Wigan thing has been very negative from the start. Maybe he is sore he didn’t get the Derby gig but qunatuma did.

You know this because? Morris took over the club shortly after he sold Candy Crush. So he had a windfall to spend.
Actually I know (and I think pretty much everyone knows) that most people, including Mel Morris, do not buy football clubs to make a profit. ANd Mel Morris publicly stated as much early in his tenure.
Even Rick Parry of the EFL, hardly besties with Mel Morris, described it as the "benefactor model". Ie he was willing to underwrite our losses.
So I think what you say is fairly demonstrably untrue.

Maybe we lost more than they did due to COVID, I think we did. Maybe their owners are richer and can absorb the losses ? Maybe Morris doesn’t have a spare £30 m or £40 m in cash anymore . Maybe forest has been sold a few times and they are at a different stage in the ownership cycle wheareas Morris was looking to sell just before COVID struck?

Maybe you do not get the difficulty in spotting the difference between cause and effect.
People taking medicines are more likely to die than people not taking medicines. That doesn't mean taking medicine is more likely to kill you than not taking medicine.

PistoldPete got a reaction from jimtastic56 in Should Rooney be doing better under the current circumstances?
AT the moment, with players we have at our disposal now, I would say yes he should be getting more out of Jason Knight, Louis Sibley, and so on. Early season form seems to have evaporated.

I never understood that vaccines would be 90% effective in stopping you get the virus, only at reducing the chances of you being seriously ill or dying.

If came arc Derby county then I would support them as still be a Derby county if that never happens then I am done with football for good.

PistoldPete reacted to Crewton in If it goes pop what are you going to do?
Seriously, I'd probably do tours of Derbyshire non-league games with like-minded mates, having the crack, visiting great pubs, drinking great beer, and never give Sky, the EFL or the EPL another penny or a second thought.

Finished with football if this happens.

That's as poor a half of football as I have seen this season. Totally devoid of ideas.

Yes but a buyer will not want all the debt. That is why the club is in adminstration. No one wanted to buy the club with all of its debt. A deal has to be struck.
