With my mate Ed, wearing his bobble hat of more simple pre Warne nature, bottom of Ferrers Way. Maybe ‘73. Waiting on a bus when the great man pulls up with wife and kids in some kind of mini bus thing and says jump in. For some reason we were off to Notts for the day on the bus as an adventure. Do recall he told Ed to take the hat off before we got there. An awestruck teen.

Always liked Nigel, but his Dad was the only world class manager who ever gave me a lift to town in his van.

Enjoyed Sky tonight. Reds at home putting up a stoic defence against the black and whites. Deservedly came out on top; a few breaks could have gone the other way.
Then after St Helens won, flipped over to make sure that the Gumps were safe.

Well. Try to stay objective. But that is a dive. Clear as.

Really struggling to want Man U to win, but have taken advice and it’s OK to want Forest to lose more. Up the Mags.

Looks like 4 tups at Easter Monday versus the franchise. Let me know which game you are looking at. Never say never ???

He's exactly what Aberdeen are needing at the moment. Leadership in the middle of the park.
He won't be the same player that left to come south, but he should have a few decent seasons left in him.
It says much about his character that Lampard brought him down and then left to join Chelsea soon after.
Cocu obviously didn't fancy him and he was kicking his heels on the bench at the start of the season. Fast forward a few months and he was a certain starter.
Sportscene guys all agreeing with you. Think Kelle Roos might need a hot bovril though. Where’s Inverurie Ram with that song ?

Only coming if there’s something Scottish on the juke box. David McGedge and all.
Happy Christmas mate. Due a meet up soon.
Palm Tree by Superstar would get me there for sure.

The fact that Gavin Williamson is a sir and Kevin Sinfield is not tells you so much about this country and the values we hold. Kevin Sinfield is just something special - I hope there is recognition in this year's SPOTY for his efforts.
100 percent agreed. On both counts.

To put the champagne on ice
We’re going to beat Sunderland* twice
Tell me Mam, me Mam
*other victims available, just remember this from the Fulwell late 70s
Also a less pleasant one about a conditional demise at Filbert Street involving a lot of accompanying mardy foxes around your feet.
The Champions years always had a Popside roll call starting MaaacFarland, Toddo, Zigger Zagger, Archie Archie Gemmill, Rioch, Rioch, Alan Hinton on the wing and some time and players later Oo Oo Henry Newton.

Bit less apprehensive about playing the big boys of PNG now. Can’t recall England (or GB) play this well since the second test in Melbourne. The Emirates beckon.

I love the walk from Craster to Bamburgh along the coast. Amazing beaches.
Potted Lobster in Bamburgh is worth overtaking a few Hairy Bikers for. And the dog loves those beaches. And the kippers in Craster don’t smell like erm, a fishing port further down the east coast.

I can report that the midgies are becoming rampant further north. Congrats on the WHW finish, from Gairloch.

He'll be brought in as No1 because Lewis had a poor season last year.
In terms of wages, Aberdeen have brought in a fair bit of cash recently due to Ramsey going to Liverpool. Forest getting promoted meant £1m from McKenna's transfer clause. The club have probably thrown a decent wage at Kelle to get a decent keeper in.
I'm still suprised he's gone North, I thought a championship side would have snapped him up.
The new Theo Snelders ?

Good to hear Aberdeen’s captain modestly commend their season’s turn around on BBC Scotland this morning. Not sure if he mentioned that he scored twice.
