Yes, Leeds were playing well enough, but it was a completely different style of football. A style that Clough didn't like and wouldn't have been proud to play as a manager, even if it had continued to bring success. I think there's definitely some truth in Clough wanting to destroy Revie's team, as he could be incredibly petty at times. It only makes me like him more as it's exactly what I'd do to Leeds if given the opportunity. It was a bad match up in general though. The Leeds players were also a petty and small minded bunch who worshipped the ground Revie walked on. They would've undermined any new manager, even if that manager wasn't as abrasive and confrontational as Clough. Also, it's usually harder to win things when you are no longer paying your opponents to lose.

As for receiving pelters since last Saturday, once again, as long as there were no personal insults, I think you fully deserved them for what you posted. It was not an opinion that you gave, just a crass insult about two of our players and our manager. I'd suggest that if you're going to take the hump when you get called out on posts like that, it may be a good idea to consider what you post more carefully in the future rather than what people do and don't find acceptable.

We've rarely ever/never been so good away from home, but less people see these games live. We've struggled a bit more away recently, as even the home teams have set up to frustrate us too. The Stevenage nadir was probably because it was Stevenage, maybe the worst team for us to play away to for the way we setup.
Even on Saturday, we raced into a 2 goal lead, never looked in any trouble at all, yet people are genuinely concerned we didn't score from open play! Should we have thrown men recklessly forward, risking a counter attack, but hoping one of those extra players could have converted at least on of the many crosses flashed across the goal? I guess Saturday doesn't really count though, as it was "only" Leighton Orient, "the sort of team we should be beating". Even though they have taken points off our promotion rivals when we've beaten them twice.

I don't know where this purity in football took hold. After what we've been thru, you'd think people would be even more thankful for potential success.

I think there’s a lot of “frequency illusion” going on with Bradley. Some have formed a view and are looking for things to reinforce that view and focusing on that.  Yes, he had a dodgy start and was, quite rightly, dropped.  But since getting a regular place he’s not made glaring errors that have cost us points.  His only misdemeanour was the sending off at Northampton.

And yet many don't seem to have an issue with it. It does seem the generally vocally negative are the ones that seem irked by it... I don't think that's a coincidence?
I saw loads of comments after the Northampton game about how he shouldn't play for us again etc. Sections of our fanbase seem utterly oblivious at times that some of that criticism filters back to the players themselves. They're human and will react to it... then when they do, many of those same fans pull the surprised pikachu face that they dare have an emotional response...
 

Cambridge have only conceded 10 set piece goals this season, 5th best in the division (we're 2nd best), whereas Orient had conceded 15 before Saturday (around 8th worst - now 3rd worst thanks to us). Hopefully we can have the same effect on Cambridge's stats, but it looks like it'll be tougher.

I've been watching Derby for 40 years and every year many people say "it's a really poor league this year". The quality of football does actually improve year on year - watch anything from the 90s and it looks like non-league football. 

Considering he's talking to me, that's not the case at all.  Long story short, me, my lad, and a few of his mates waited for the players after the Bolton game for pics, and I waited a bit longer than most for a pic with the gaffer, but I guess he was either still basking in the post victory glow at the bar, or he'd popped off early.  Fast forward to Saturday and my lad's mates were again waiting outside and one of them told him I was a Derby fan of 40 years & I was gutted I'd missed him a couple of weeks ago.  Warney politely asked him for his phone, asked what my name was, and hit Record.  Top bloke...

Sometimes a manager comes into a club and doesn’t like a player, or doesn’t play to their strengths, or the player themselves isn’t settled or quite right or ready for that league at that time or isn’t fit etc etc. Just because they didn’t play at their previous clubs doesn’t mean they can’t succeed for us, players progress and develop as much as decline and falter.
Catastrophising our prospects next season before we’ve even got the job done this season always seems odd to me. I recommend living in the moment and enjoying the ride of these last 2 games, then we can get on with worrying about what happens next 😁 

The Northampton and Wycombe results both came as a result of profligacy infront of goal.
If teams as poor as them have been able to stifle us, it's strange that much better teams have been unable to.
As for Warne listening to the 'fans rebellion' I've seen you say it a few times and there is absolutely no way he made any changes to please the fans, and you're only kidding yourself if you actually believe he did.

Surely if Forest were talking now about how they'll get on in the championship next season we'd be complimentary about their realism.......😉

Hopefully we can make promotion. If so, we will all be “blind-faithers” for next season, both the optimistic and the pessimistic. Until we know what our squad will be how can anyone predict how we will do.

I think the management team have shown enough flexibility over the last few months for me to be optimistic they will adapt to the Championship. Paul Warne has shown at times he can be ruthless and I expect several departures this summer. I also commend him recruiting the right “type” (much to many people’s dismay), who are good team players, rather than pot hunters, wage chasers (we’ve had too many of those over the years!). I think our dressing room has been strong due to the characters he has recruited.
I will be very pleasantly surprised if we do an Ipswich, but who knows till we get there. One thing I do know is Warne and co will work tirelessly to try to achieve success.
