Knights average in his first season worked out around 9-10 goals as he got 7 in 31.  Probably more as a fair few of those were 20-30 minute cameos, plus the constant energy.  His goal average has suffered since with overplaying in 19/20, constantly being jammed out wide in 20/21, a 3 month layoff with a bust ankle last season and now he's full back .  Only Derby would stick a bloke with motm performances in his last 3 international matches playing midfield, at fullback in League one.   Probably very used to playing with Hourihane in that midfield as well so they know each others game .  Ridiculous.

Absolutely no chance they get anyway near 50 million back on those two.  Your looking at excess of 250-280 million overall with fees and wages they'll be stuck with for 3-4 years or take a huge loss.

Lingard learnt plenty here.  Specifically, how to remove splinters from your arse cheeks from warming the bench week after week and that dancing in the winter whilst on the touchline, rather than sitting on the bench, can both keep you warm and prevent those painful splinters.  He's used the moves he learnt here to make some really appalling s*** on Tik Tok.

A lot of football was played, mostly by Derby County, so we had to keep our discipline and by doing that we had the better chances in the game tonight. I think, on another occasion, a fitter and sharper Dan Udoh would take one of those chances.
 I thought he, Rekeil Pyke, Jordan Shipley and Tom Bayliss were immense attacking flair players tonight. The goalkeeper and the back five will always get the credit for the clean sheet but that started with them tonight. In the end I thought we could've won it. We had the better chances.
