Everton appealing on the we could have sold players to cover this if not for covid. Worked for half the championship after we'd been reared and they altered the framework for Stoke, Bristol City etc. Joke.

They won't go down. I think they'll only need about 22 points.
Never thought I'd see a points deduction in the Premier League. When is it Man Citys turn

It’s ironic that a 10-point deduction in any of the years they fell foul of the rules would have relegated them.
But when they finally get deducted, it’s in a year where the bottom three are that bad they will still stay up by about 10+ points.
Should have gone in 97. Han Segers, what a Bamford.

Isn't Wallin the bloke Fury beat about 4 years ago despite having to protect a nasty cut, when he weighed about 25 stone hadn't been in the ring for 2 years and had consumed about 5000 pints in that period.
Good times. Top level stuff.

How much did we need to increase the offer by and how much are we spending on the 3rd choice goalkeeper and unfit loans?
Around 2000k a week. Embleton and John Jules till January -Can't imagine Sunderland and Arsenal would be cheap. Average salary for a 3rd choice keeper- a large chunk or maybe more than we needed to sort out a deal for the forward.
Your question is a moot point regardless. The answer is a lot more for 3 players than an increase in wages for one to match another League 1 teams offer.

If they are a 3rd choice goalkeeper at League One level, I'm going to suspect that their wages aren't breaking the bank.
They missed out on a player in the summer as the chance to increase an offer wasn't there and the amount to be made up was close. Wasted money is wasted money. Far too much has gone on 3rd choice goalies and unfit loans.

Any more? He's had none to spend.
Probably best not too waste wages on a 3rd choice goalie who'll never play then, if your looking at free transfers with other offers as well.

Reports that Chelsea could get points deduction due to alledged offshore payments made during Abramovich's time in charge which didn't go through the books to avoid FFP issues....
If any premier league club gets an actual points deduction I'll be amazed. The ones who are winning stuff/getting in Europe/avoiding relegation won't push as it won't suit their own agenda. The ones who've gone down after a few years will have played the skeleton in the closet game and won't want to risk any counter accusations which may damage their failure pot of money or close off an option for a quick return.
The only ones who'll raise it as an issue are a one season up, not that likely to return club and they'll just laugh and not give a s***.

Ok apologies. I assumed Radio Derby knew their facts. When has it happened before?
We were away, lost 2-1 and had stuffed them in the League cup 5-1 earlier in the season as some comfort. So I'd still say this was s****** than that one mate.
A 3-1 defeat at home, in the First round, against a team a league below us would be our worst cup exit officially. There have been some crappier results but later in the tournament.
Here's to Warney matching that up with our longest spell in the 3rd tier.

Embarrassing was when the cameras spotted their Keeper on a deck-chair reading a paper.
Had that little to do he's probably been forgotten on the bus and left asleep in goal. This will be what they find when they open up again in a couple of weeks poor fella.

Here's a picture of the bloke who got two goals.
You can pop it the w*** album with Zamora and Kenny Burns in those 80's shorts. Something to wile away those winter nights, not sure you got out much.

Warne sends out Wildsmith first...
Everyone's disappointed but they left it all out their apparently. Losing wasn't ideal but they can concentrate on the league.
Now the gaffers up - not dynamic enough out wide or on set pieces. We could have played a conference side and they'd have given us a game. Having Wash available would have made a difference.
Sweet Jesus.

That leaves the club with a Lot less money to pay the bills
We've made 60k - minus costs-or something from that Pizza aberration we win in that no-one can be arsed with. Real cups don't count. We don't need a million quid from getting to the 3rd round in those and getting a decent game or two.

We got out of jail in the first game. Well done Crewe, sounds like we were well beaten tonight. Interesting to hear how Warne explains this one away.
Players had their heads turned by Disney and Kane played the worst in the playground. Summat, Summat. Where's me mugs and coffee, jumpers for goalposts, flibble, flibble. Their midfield was scary so best to just lump towards their goalie from out wide onto Cashs noggin who gets loads or the goalies Kenny Everrett hands. Bradley was brought on to get 3 goals in 5 minutes on another day, that comes off. I

Oh dear. I hope their goalies ok with all those crosses to no-one he's been gathering. Must be on 1000 by now. Quite the carpal tunnel risk. Do you think at some point trying to find some space 30 yards from goal and playing through to move defenders around a bit may be an option.
-
Oh dear. Are we playing 1970 Brazil. It sounds like it.

I think Maguire , wants to moonlight as a tabloid journalist. He should know being an academic not to make claims that are not backed up in anyway. He seems to have Derby / Mel permanently in his mind and if I’m not mistaken wasn’t it him , who “voiced his concerns “ to the EFL in the first place ?
Do you think his missus got upset when the wedding photo in the bedside frame got replaced with one of Mel doing the bounce.?

As they retained their place in the division that will be huge legal fees pissed up the wall. Almost as big a waste as about 90 million they spent on s**** last season with 4 years wages on top.
I look forward to their accounts over 4 years
