I think you need to think a little more outside the box, he could be anywhere or anyone!

A who's who of missing Forest players from their transfer listing profiles ?  All pictures taken a few weeks before Marianakis put in his new patio. Number 1 looks like Colback, Number 2 Shelvey, Number 4 has a Grabban beard vibe.  I assume one must be Arter but it's that long since he's played I can't remember what he looks like. O'Brien ? If only Warne had access to these files and saw those beards they may have escaped their grisly fate.

  2. Mick Quinn played as an apprentice.  Pretty close.

At the end of Portsmouth's home fixture against West Bromwich Albion on 25 October 1986, Quinn and teammate Paul Wood were both ejected from the ground by police officers after being overheard swearing at a linesman during the second half of the game. Chief Inspector David Hanna of Hampshire Constabulary said they would have been ejected at half-time if the incident had happened in the first half.

Interesting with the crowd goading and shouting that happens today.  Thought it was all much more civilised in the new golden age of TV money

    The great Alan Stubbs......

He the one that played 4 games.  Hurt his back in one, then played in a defeat against Doncaster and hurt it again, then retired and now makes a living taking the piss out of us for betting firms.  I'm not sure we had his best.😃

500k for a 22-year old lad who can’t hold down a starting berth in an inconsistent Step 3 side would be very generous indeed

I think he has potential but probably not here and he's young.  He'll do a Ramage, head to Watford and get 20 goals most likely.  Worth a 500k gamble to a championship side.  I think Rooney did his confidence a lot of damage I'm afraid. A side that sets up quite free moving without big expectation would be good for him.  Maybe Plymouth.

Sibley could bring a fee in like Knight , possibly £2 mill. Cashin and Bird will probably do a Tom Lawrence and let the last few months of their contracts run down. I still don’t know what Brighton would do with Cashin - they are a top half Prem team . Loan him to a Championship club an see if he improves? He has not cut out the mistakes in Tier 3 yet .

Knight went for 1.7-1.8 mil and had a years contract and was basically first name on the teamsheet for club and country.  Don't get me wrong, we were robbed on that one but the premise is the same .  If they get 500k for Sibley, they'll be lucky with 5 months on his contract.

Yes but this season our failure against the more Neanderthal types of teams have been because we have just slung loads of crosses into a penalty area populated by gorillas.

Have we actually tried playing football against the gorillas? With their slow and wide turning circles, I am sure we could play through them, if only we tried.

We are sat on an expectancy after yet another good Tuesday, so we can but hope for some football on Saturday, instead of our usual Saturday follow up.

    COME ON YOU FOOTBALLING RAMS!!!

Ah!  But where did the offence start?  20 yards plus an eighth of an inch?

You're just asking for trouble!  Go back to the drawing board, buddy!  👀

    🤣

Ok. Everyone should get 10 challenges a game for whatever they like, apart from Forest, Leeds and Birmingham who get none, no in play VAR checks that may benefit them and every goal they score will be checked to see if half a b******* offside.

Could be there’s more chance of a half season loan back if it’s Brighton ?

I hear a fair bit mate but don't really choose to impart a lot as if something doesn't pan out it's an hour of how do we know your weren't making it up/who's the source.

I Posted a while ago though mate, as so much rubbish was doing the rounds re this move, that Brighton were willing last minute to agree to a loan back but a few weeks before had already lined up a loan out for the season to Ipswich or Blackburn.  The delay to finalising things was Derby would not release Cashin without a replacement and contacted Ipswich to try and get a loan from them as cover to allow Cashin to be released to them. At the time Ipswich weren't prepared to to let the player go and Derby wouldn't sell without the cover.  Brighton agreed to scrap the loan -and fee- late on to get the deal done but too late.

It's possible but they now have the chance to shave money off the deal as it's later in the day and get that loan fee.  Unless there is another interested party, I'd think that ships sailed.  I wouldn't be surprised to see Derby go back to Ipswich for the player they were looking at if Cashin does go there on loan though.  Big hint he's been here before and ain't playing a lot.

Bradley ahead of Cashin …………….…….am I missing something!

Cashin will be off in January and I doubt we'll be able to push for a loan back this time .  As such, I expect Bradley will get more game time to protect against injury for a sale and He'll be playing then anyway as We've got him for this season at least and probably two.

I thought we lost players to Chelsea (maybe that was Williams) and Manchester United.

If we hadn't gone into Admin it is likely that Williams, Buchanan, Ebosele and Ebiowei would all be playing for us now, or at the very least we would have got a decent fee that would have been invested in the squad.

One we didn't have to sell.  Good old Wayne advised him to go as it was too good an opportunity.  We could have sold him and kept Kellyman as they went for the same.

Exclusive: Blackburn and Derby thunder into race for EFL hotshot chased by Leeds, Sunderland

Blackburn Rovers and Derby County have joined the chase for in-demand AFC Wimbledon striker and Leeds United and Sunderland target, Ali Al-Hamadi, TEAMtalk can reveal.

If this is correct all 3 of those clubs can pay more, pay more wages and could offer a massive promotion bonus.  Leeds, Sunderland, Blackburn, League 1 side in that order. That's your lot really.

    Lots of positives.

Confidence for Collo, with a perfect hat-trick, beautifully taken.

Minutes for Elder, who we really need to win Fozzy's shirt.

    Lovely debut for Fapetu.

    Skills masterclass from Wilson.

Some nice cameos off the bench.

One caveat: it was an u21 team we beat.

One negative...how did Bradley get underneath that header?

Been watching Paul Williams -How to clear the ball and influence play off finals - circa 94

This season, in league games only:

Marriott: 8.2 shots per goal - 5 goals from 41 shots

Collins: 6 shots per goal (9.3 in open play) - 5 goals from 30 shots (2 goals from 2 penalties)

Waghorn: 4.3 shots per goal - 6 goals from 26 shots

Washington: 2.7 shots per goal - 3 goals from 8 shots

Better than Collins then in open play and no way we can know about whether those shots were easier or harder or great saves from the keeper. I'd imagine his average for Peterborough in their relegation season and last year at Fleetwood must be good.  I've seen both him and Washington and he's a far more clever footballer, finds more space and can finish better.  Just my opinion mind.

Needs to take 10 shots per goal and is an injury risk. No thanks.

He can't be getting that many chances at Fleetwood.  Saw his goals and finishes at a higher level and in pressure games.  I'd take him over any forward we've got.  He had a bad spell when he was in the Sibley zone re pressured game time. With a decent midfielder providing chances, he'll get goals.
