If if Woolworths was the centre of a community for 32,000+++ families.

and, this may sound a little entitled, but who the duck are Wycombe?!?

The side that cheated their way to promotion .  They'll say they were the rules in place and we just used them in the best way possible.  That's cheating it seems ,  Sue them or send in the carpet bombers thats the way we do things now.

The news from the administrators if accepted by efl completes the end of Middlesbrough and Wycombe unsubstantiated claims against Derby.

It is said that the EFL board have external advice that Middlesbrough and Wycombe are football creditors - and therefore owed every penny - but the relevant law changed only recently and the EFL rulebook has not been updated to reflect it.

Ahhhhhhh feck off.  How can you be a creditor if there is no actual confirmed liability.

Unless something happens in the next few days its only a matter of time i'm afraid.   Less than a million is my bet.  The key is getting more than 2 interested buyers if were getting more than that.

Knights defending high up the pitch is invaluable. He stops attacks before they happen with his constant pressing and chasing.

He's one of those players that team mates rate more than the fans do.

I rate him highly, he faded last year due to playing 10-15 games to many but has matured as a player and handles his game time rather than being burned out in an hour .  People forget that he also has 7 or 8 goals a season in him utilised in a different formation.  8 millions a steal, we might get 4 or 5 if we get two or three bidders.

happy to explain and you should feel free to call me a naive fool

MM was in the position where he was haemorrhaging cash into the bottomless pit of our beloved club, as he funded us through covid and as the efl allowed Gibson and his cronies to spin out resolution of FFP. (MM must share some blame for this of course.) So he was at the end of his tether as his nemesis, Gibbo, literally forced him to sign a cheque every month for £2m (or whatever) with no end in sight.  He had a sale in prospect in June/July and it fell away, most likely because of the FFP issues (and it was a hugely difficult time to sell a club). He was being driven mad because Gibbo had him over a barrel, so he came to think: this has to stop. He told this to MSD and then Q were consulted    Q advised MM and MSD that administration was the best route to reach a timely deal with EFL (because relations between MM and EFL were so poor) and would ultimately be the best for the club because it would enable a sale.   So MM's decision to put us in admin was not made because he simply decided to walk away into the sunset and leave us to the jackals; it was made mostly to 1 stem the cash burn and 2 get the club sold. I know this decision has major consequences for unsecured creditors and the taxman - they have to take a haircut - but it was an understandable one - even for a fan -  given how much he had invested.

I was catatonic when we went into admin, I couldn't believe he had done it. But having listened to him and Q talking about it, I now sort of get it. And it may yet prove to have been a good decision, especially if Uncle Mike takes the reins and if Wayne keeps showering us with gifts on the pitch. We will see.

So that's the background. MM will now be biding his time. He will understand that his legacy is in tatters but that, if the next phase goes well, some of that will be clawed back, especially if he is seen to assist. Consistent with this, Q tell us he and they are 'aligned'

So if the admins say to him: MSD are max-ed out, you are the only person who can keep this ship afloat, I think there is a decent chance that he will put his hands into his deep pockets one last time

Indications are that their were some further opportunities for a move from what I read, so surprised this one was so quick..  Obviously, things have been happening in the background for a bit.

Just read the interview- delighted to have got it over the line does not indicate a move out of the blue.

Don't forget Shinnie came on a free transfer and had a big substantial wage, and we are a couple of weeks away from being kicked out of the league and being wound up. Every pound of future expenditure saved will now help.

We also got Byrne the same way, and others the same way before that? That's the way it goes when players are close to being out of contract. About time the Bosman rule was looked at again for British football!

the EFL are FURIOUS with Q following Friday's announcement, they have made that quite clear in Parry's responses to emails. Q has little chance of further footie mandates, they'll be back to winding up law firms. There's not a secured creditor in the country who would appoint administrators who have so alienated the regulator

I'll drop Rick a quick email to check.  That way he'll be furious with a headache.  The worse his migraine the more chance of him pooping or getting of the pot.

I can hardly believe we’d consider selling a young player like Knight with 18months on his contract rather than Lawrence who can walk away on a free in the summer.

im sure both will attract many admirers and command a similar price.

We won't.  With 6 months left and a massive wage, Lawrence will go on free.  I suspect a fee of 2-3 million for Knight as he will have a few suitors to push the price up a bit after the initial 200k offers.

The club's total wage bill was equivalent to £14m per season in the months of September through to November, and it's got to be at least £1.5m lower following the 4 departures. I wouldn't consider that as high.

I was under the impression that the club generated an average of 25 million quid a year gross. After net deductions I'm kind of struggling to see how we are suddenly 6 million quid short of cash to the end of the season, even if that takes into account transfer payments due.

yes it was reported in the Sun that Ashley and Gibson know each other. It's massive news, quite possible this could resolve it for us. I was worried Ashley might just move on thinking - this is all just too difficult.

Only question is, what then happens to Wycombe? Not such an issue I guess because much smaller. TBH I think Couhig is the one who has hatched this gruesome legal ruse and that if Gibbo settles, he will as well

I just hope Gibbo's rug doesn't blow off when Ashley lands the chopper on his lawn. That would be a bad start to the summit

He's chums with Gadsby from the time we were putting up Pride Park.  Probably why Gadsbys no longer in the picture.  Couldn't be arsed with the hassle.  We need to sue for 45 million for sending us Julian De Sart and ruining any chance of the playoffs.  Is McClaren not using any sway here.  Won Richard Simmonds shitty outfit their only trophy.

If 1000 people go what is the chance of no damage to property or worse ? Peaceful protest is good but some who turn up will want it to turn ugly.

Its already ugly.  What's the alternatives.  An organised protest always gets that element of others turning up.  Crack on, the days of standing by idly have done nothing.

Shhhhh don’t encourage their thinking, they might be looking at what fans think!

HE’S A BLOODY CROPPER, LEAVE HIM TO SEE OUT HIS DAYS WHERE HE IS

Thats the biggest worry for me.  clubs getting twitchy around us thinking how they can weaken our squad and improve there own for peanuts.

Leeds, Burnley and Newcastle all monitoring Knight, according to The Times.

They quote £8m but I very much doubt we’d get that for him with 18 months left on his contract? Probably lucky to get anything over £2m.

Newcastle.  Thats at least 30 million. Great

I think Davies would be a huge gamble for any side considering his injuries the two seasons before. No doubt someone will try it, but not sure it’s the best move for him or frankly…anyone.

Not for 12 months if they get 10 games and damage what is now a rival for a relegation spot.  He's on probably the lowest wage here as it is, so minimal wages as well.

Honestly, the "'Boro member on the board" stuff is a bit of a red herring IMO.  We had a member on their previously while the DC/LAP stuff was going on, and it didn't help. It's my understanding that he's required to leave the room when conflicts of interest arise anyway, so in theory he shouldn't be able to influence things.

Arguably, the Forest guy is a worse issue because they are actively trying to buy one of our players, so it's in their interests to pressure us into selling as cheaply as possible.

As I recall other board members requested his absence from Derby County discussions .  Bet the coven aren't doing that now.
