their fans are definitely larger, particularly their bases, but we have a larger fan base
I dunno about that, if both teams are at the top of this league you'd be looking at 6,000 swing their way. I do remember going up their when they were second in the Billy Davies season though and they had to beat us to go top. The entire top tier was closed , so that suggests they got a bit carried away on the size of crowd they could regularly get in .

Derby and Reading in the EFL dungeon - We're definitely Michael Palin

Premier League winners, playing in Europe.
Wish we were that insignificant.
Been there and done that 45 years ago. After a couple it's boring. Marches and EFL bashing is were it's at nowadays. Leicester on the coattails and so out of fashion.

I do feel that people are ignoring the midweek elephant in the room coming up. If that's not a draw and with Barnsley having a game in hand, things could look a lot bleaker if we don't get 6 from the next couple. How long till Richards is up and at least moving as an option.

VAR is great If used in the right way. Each team can request 3 reviews per game. Likewise any diving for penalties should be a 15 minute sin bin rather than a yellow.

You cannot allow yourself to get too down about one result . But our defending was sloppy and we didn’t seem to be set up to cope with their stand out player Jones. Something Wazza needs to sort in the summer is the lack of a hard man in midfield. Crooks did as he liked and needed sorting.
We had to let ours go for 30k. Perfect game for Shinnie this one. Break it up and wind them up

In fairness to Boro, I thought they had some serious quality today. Crooks was a player I really hoped we would be in for (back before admin).
With that being said, I do feel that they are in a similar position to us back in 2016/2017. A lot of big wages, big fees (perhaps not as much as we spent nominally, but adjusted for the weak market probably a similar amount). Furthermore, I can’t imagine they generate the sort of revenue we did, they’re not a small club by any means but they are a tier under us (in my opinion anyway).
I’ve always had my suspicions that they’re claim might have been FFP related, they lost eye watering amounts last year and they have spent big this year. I know they have a few assets with serious value, but I’m skeptical of some of the figures being banded around. Spence looks class but 10 million for half a season in the champ? Can’t see it personally, especially with the market still in a bit of a lull.
Maybe I’m wrong and they’ll come up smelling of roses, but somehow I think karma might be making its way to Teeside in the near future.
Each to their own i suppose. Wouldn't take the clumsy classless bar steward on a free. Cowardly player as well, never puts it in on the big boys. Next job giving rides on Blackpool beach

Losing Jagielka and Shinnie was massive, but also unnecessary in terms of where we were at under administration.
Two players that could have given us a fighting chance against Forest, Huddersfield and Boro. Only one person caused that and he was in the stands telling the press he needed ‘extra security’.
Post game frustration, but the situation is a joke.
Also Morrison and Stearman get straight reds, what’s happened today then?
Jagielka loss was huge. Shipping for fun since then. No real organisation. Stearman tries but nowhere near in terms of footballing brain and feet and Buchanans quick but stays off the forward too much as he's not a centre half.

We weren't that bad. An awful ref let them clobber us - literally - and we were our own worst enemies.
We were mate. That was horrific. Could have been 7

Peterboro and Reading losing means nothing has changed..
Till they play each other mid week. A point today could have been vital.

Heaviest defeat of the season in a game like this. Two goals end of each half . ducking dreadful . Any trouble after this with fired up supporters will be fuelled by this poo show.

Apart from losing at Peterborough, and giving away a lead..... ?
I'd still go with Barnsley

Massive week for them with Reading and us this week.
A draw and a defeat would be be best. Half of that's in our hands . Big performance owed after this shambles today.

Barnsley 1 up
Barnsley seem to always beat them , it's weird. Bit like we always play like 11 strangers at todays poo tip.

This is awful. They should have two more by now. Our own indecision in the final 3rd is ridiculous.
-
Bit disappointed overall. Physically, I expected a bit more fight in what's an important game . I'll be surprised if there in the top 6, I've seen better. Hopefully a bit more organisation and responsibility second half . Home points won't be enough. Need 2- 3 wins away and this ones gone. Take any key players off now before one gets injured and get some subs on as cannon fodder to dish it out. We seriously miss Jagielka in this backline. No composure or thought of pass under pressure

So brief summary: we are 3-1 down and playing better than these
we are just so much better than them - they have 2 goals basically both OG although 2nd wont be, the 3rd goal by a player who should have been sent off.
Mike Dean has been truly terrible
Should have had 2 sent off - the deliberate arm into Bielik face, the high studs up and out of control foul on Bird
Referee is their 12th man his performance is a total embarrassment - its almost like the EFL have had a word as he has missed every single important decision.
Clearest red I've seen. Then he scores.

Undeserved. two own goals. Should be down to 10. Last minute of the half . locals getting rowdy. Whats happening on this pitch will make this explode.

It can’t be done for FFP if potentially MM has handed any actual money towards Gibson - because MM has nothing to do with football apart from owning a football stadium.
I don't think he has as yet

And just got blown over. That's all I can assume otherwise that was horrific.
