I suspect he's that tired from travelling across time and space he'd struggle to find his boots. We lost him as a decent player when Knight was moved from full back as he did all his running. We've lost any usefulness at all now he's playing football at 3am on a 5 weekly rota.
He will only be effective as a sub, standing in a 10 yard radius, without any tracking player duties. Basically not much at all
put him in the middle instead of collins, and tell him not to move out of the opponents half so we always have an outlet instead of being under constant siege

I was on record saying Warne had this full season to prove his promotion credentials after the signifcant drop off back end of last year. By promotional credentials I was inferring a top 2 push (given the quality of the rest of the league), it is suprising we are where we are, and quite frankly, embarrassing for a club of our stature. No disrespect for the opposition. I now say he has until Xmas to keep pace (lose no further ground) and preferably make up points on the top 6. That would convince me he warrants the second half of the season to try and improve further still, we've seen big turnarounds before. His record suggests a little more time on that basis. If we're still languishing around midtable at Xmas, or worse then he needs to go. It wouldn't be too late for someone else to come in at that point and with some good form make 6th. So not in favour of throwing the whole season away is my new position and Warne has a couple of months to prove he can get through this patch. I don't think he has responded amazingly well to the criticism, but then again I can allow anyone to to vent. It is becoming somewhat apparent he is isn't used to managing this level of expectation,
Quotewe're essentially at our historic lowest at this point
and he'd do well to acknowledge that, we're not used to being humbled by such opposition on an almost weekly basis, and then being told we're playing well against them. I felt Rosenior was very hard done by when he was replaced, not bashing DC too much as on paper I thought he played a blinder getting Warne in, why wouldn't he have? The guy is a serial winner at this level...or so we thought. Just concerned by the length of the deal.
our lowest point is virtually warnes highest,as a yo yo manager, could this be the problem

He has to go for me regardless! The aim this year was top 2. We are in a terrible league this year with distinctly average teams in the division. The very fact Fornah made his 1st touch in the 14th minute speaks volumes to me…. Bypass the midfield…. Get as many crosses in as possible and hope for the best.
There’s no guile, no patterns of play just end to end garbage. Shrewsbury were by far the better team yesterday and seeing Curtis Nelson launch every throw in into the box made me think “is this all we have got?”
Come on Clowes! Let’s get John Eustace in, play Bird as a holding midfielder and let’s get marching up the division!

i thought it quite comical taking the tallest player out of the box to put a long throw into collins and co

Do you think the fans will keep putting their money into the Club in the same kind of numbers? Do you know that the broadcasting money will be less in league 1 from next season?
Maybe Clowes will decide he can't afford to keep putting money in and will sell up?
the money it will cost to get rid of the rotherham crew will be insignificant compared to the overall damage they are doing to dc's investment if we fail to get promotion.as it stands,dc bought a 3rd division club on its arse,if we get promotion ,not only do we get more revenue, but clowes investment value increases as a well supported championship club.clowes cannot afford to allow his investment to languish in league one or lower,he has to get rid of warne

other than the forwards,i dont think we have a bad squad, the back five i would say are the best in the league by far,the midfield,if allowed to play must be up there too,but when you play the slowest strikers in the league and tell them to play more in your own penalty box than the oppositions, there is no outlet and we are under siege.no team can hold out under such bombardment, we are going to concede at some point.we simply have to leave somebody up top for an outlet and stop all the opposition going forward

warne came with a bus trip of advisers ,coaches, hangers on,whatever.i can understand one mans obsession with s**** football, but surely, its that bad, none of the bus trip can be obsessed with it,why do these people not have the balls to say this isnt going to work here paul,we need to change

I keep seeing adverts on here saying I can adopt a donkey from £3 a month. If I do it do you think he’ll cancel the rest of his contract?

That is not a good look at any level. I don't doubt that the players are trying their best but it's certainly not working at the moment.
i think Hourihane got the abuse that would have been aimed at warne had he been in front of the fans, hope Hourihane can put it behind him for the rest of the season

I find it very difficult to believe Warne believes everything he said in that interview. He's not an idiot.

Just skimmed through this thread and haven't seen any mention that Shrewsbury are the second lowest goalscorers in League 1, you can guess without much difficulty whom the lowest are ...
Cue they put about 3 past us this afternoon 😂
warne will be well aware of their threat up front, and adjust to suit, pack the defence and miss out the midfield

And he (while I am not one to gender stereotype, this does look a very bloke thing to do) also missed out the P, then the R and the I plus the C and the K.
This is not wealth envy, but with all that is going on in the world if anyone thinks private number plates are a necessary expense then they should receive a six point fine just for that.
i would think the value of the plate is miniscule compared with the price of the car

They put up a pretty good show in my opinion. You still have to beat what is put in front of you. This would be their BIG game in the round robin games and a local Derby. I personally thought we played well for the most part. We just need to be more clinical.
Let's face it if half of the chances went in last night, every one would be waxing lyrical.
We just need to be more clinical.-this is the problem,we dont have forwards with the ability to be more clinical
-
nobody can question collins effort and work rate, but,as some sugest on here, for collins to score 20 goals this season,it would mean he has missed 60/70 clear cut chances a half decent striker would score.i would sooner have a clinical striker who ambles about over a worker with little ability in putting them away
-
If people watching,or listening to the game did not realise that the booing was for the ref and not for the team, there must be a reason for them to make that mistake
