To be fair Dave, teams away from home that go in at halftime 0-2 with not a glove layed on them tend to play with less possession and intensity in the second half.  We only looked slightly better.

I was only really commenting on work rate, a poster said at least he worked hard. I wasn’t really saying he doesn’t work hard enough,  I just didn’t think he ( amongst others) works hard enough to really mention.  He doesn’t look comfortable in that position, nor does Sibbo.  We looked very disjointed tonight.  We have looked ok recently, playing as a team.  This was miles away from that.  Who is at fault? It can’t be blamed on individuals as the team can carry a few.  Can’t blame WR as everyone has stopped slating him recently!!!!

I should, in all honesty, be receptive to alternative views. An open mind is a good thing. Partisanship is by definition, one eyed.
Yet where is the honesty and open mindedness from the EFL that has a fixed, slanted playing field via parachute payments and then whips none parachute clubs for daring to challenge. ? Their “perspective”  is worthless while the double standards persist.
They are complicit with the premier league in running a bent competition in the championship while trumpeting their own supposed moral superiority - which is baseless.
Jobsworths, pompous, self important, self promoting, illogical, biased and about as useful as the famed one legged man at a but kicking party with a big fat zero in the integrity stakes.

My lad and I watched that in bed - we’ve both got covid. We were supposed to be there today so we’re both gutted, but that second half has perked us up.

Below are a couple of emails I have sent and received between Pauline Latham OBE MP and myself. I think it is important to highlight the concerns noted below to your local MPs and particularly anybody in Mrs Latham’s constituency as from her email, she is following the situation of Derby and the EFL very closely and has noted the points I have made.

I’ve been reading this forum for years, finally decided to create an account as I am a passionate Rams fans. The EFL stand on their alleged morals of being fit and proper, how can Peter Risdale be fit and proper to hold a position on the board of the EFL???

Come on lads! Three points today would be lovely, but a fighting performance with attacking intent would be enough to put smiles on a few faces. Another clean sheet would be welcome too ?

You make some interesting points Pete, as does Crewton.
Starting with your last point, in a perfect world the regulatory regime would be far more forensic and targeted than it is. It is one of the reasons why Tracey Crouch's work is so important ; the framework we have is not fit for purpose. And that is compounded by the breathtaking ineptitude of the body that has control over it. This is where I depart from Crewton - I completely understand his frustrations with the EFL (more on that in a minute). But I think it is just incompetence, rather than anything more sinister.
I actually think your club is suffering more than it has to because the EFL knows its regulatory powers are under threat. At my club, our frustration towards them stemmed from what we saw as a wilful refusal to take ANY action, despite overwhelming evidence that they should. I think the pendulum has swung in that they are now trying to be proactive without having the skills wherewithal and general political nous to do that properly.  They are struggling to show that they are relevant - but that ship has long sailed, I hope.
I think what is really needed now is a rapid and clear conclusion, for everybody's sake. Your new owners might be unknown, at present, but every day that this lingers on makes their job harder when they come in.  And I think your administrators should have considerations like that at the front of their minds, and be acting accordingly. I have my doubts about them doing this as they should.
Crewton, I don't feel berated, I feel as though we are having a civilised discussion from very different viewpoints.  Your case feels especially poignant for me ; I started watching live football in 1968 and what I loved about that era was that provincial clubs like Derby County could legitimately aspire to be Champions of England. I watched you win 3-2 at Bloomfield Road in your promotion season in my early days and it was completely enthralling. Memories like that count for a lot.

Already had two, have we not! The former found in our favour, the latter saw the fitting post-appeal punishment as being nothing more than a paltry £100K fine.
Frankly, you can roll your eyes all you like, but we're now in administration and I'd say that's ample punishment for using an amortisation policy that was neither outlawed under the EFL's own regs, nor FRS 102 non-compliant. These facts seem to have been lost in a tidal wave of fear and self-loathing that I'm totally at a loss to understand.
