You might be happy in the garden having a BBQ, meanwhile some of us will be out here camped out at local estate agents trying to ID incoming talent. WE NEED TO KNOW.

Gladys was an out and out winger with great crossing ability and a shot like a bullet.

Conor did his best and his best was often pretty classy, but essentially playing a 2 in MF did him no favours, indeed, even Bird struggled in a league where you have to have legs in the middle of the park. Irrespective, I think it's telling that the lads themselves made him their skipper and it was noted that he stuck staunchly by the team even when effectively benched late on in the season. No bitching, no ego, just help the team get over the line. I respect that. He's a good egg and has shown himself to be a seriously talented footballer and I wish him well in his future career as a coach. I'd not be at all surprised to see him do rather well.

Even if we had beaten Villa, we were in a hole then and promotion may not have helped.
If you could go back to one point, it was at the end of 2014/15.
Even if you sack McClaren. Don’t go and spend £25m in one summer on a bunch of random players and hire a manager who’d never managed before.
That summer alone is the primary reason we went down to League One. Every bad decision after that was a consequence of trying to rectify the monumental mistakes made that summer.

Dordogne-Ram reacted to Red_ram in “We stepped up”
It bothered me when we got promoted and just tuning into the playoff final highlights to enjoy watching leeds players cry I see it about again on the official flags; “we stepped up”. What faux Americanised drivel is this? Anyone else unnecessarily bothered by this, or is it just my age and lack of sedatives?

'twas a joke. I would expect supporters of any and all teams to do exactly the same but I just wanted to have a go at Leeds....you see, I'm not overly fond of that club or its "fans".

We really should be there for them in their hour of need as they drive unhappily up the M1.
Leeds, Leeds, have fallen apart again.

I think David is very keen for this to happen. It's about the logistics.

You’re right about him being a steady Eddie. I think Clough’s strengths lie in him building a culture and scouting and recruiting good players at bargain prices. Tactically he gets a bit scared at crucial times. That’s why it needed a Mac to come in, take the shackles off and maybe give them a bit more belief and confidence.
In the modern era, I think Clough would make a great Director of Football.

Who did that "shrewd recruiting"?
Because GSE were very hands-off, who was scouting and signing those players?

How is "throwing money at it" the same as "running the club responsibly"?
And does anyone think that David Clowes "lacks ambition"? He's probably just a bit more patient in pursuit of it than some disastrous owners and some fans are.

I really hope we are not still identifying targets.
The club have been in the promotion hunt for weeks, so surely the recruitment department have spent the last few weeks discussing with Paul Warne what kind of players he thinks we will need for if we go up.
If we are still identifying targets, then what the hell have they been playing at?
