Preferred bidder announced next week, along with a £5m non-refundable deposit - which I believe is enough to cover all costs until we've played our last game of the season. Therefore, no fire sale will be required in January and gives the admin team and buyer plenty of time to sort everything out.
It would be ideal for it to go through before the end of January so we can be active in the transfer market and start extending some contracts, but I think that's very unlikely. Mid-Feb is my guess for when it's completed.

Do you ever get the feeling that some people ie Derby fans would love DCFC to go to the wall, I've never felt once would we find ourselves being liquidated or even exterminated, Being impatient will only exacerbate peoples blood pressure and anxiety...take that Chill Pill and let administration take it's course ?

He couldn't politically. They should have shut yesterday, but he promised Christmas would be saved.
Sadly government and politics have different priorities.

Yep I finished work last Thursday, went out to the pub Thursday night/friday day-early afternoon/saturday all day (for the football) and by Sunday I'd caught it (bit of a bummer when you've booked 3 weeks off!)  despite not even getting a sniff of it in all the preceding months of the past variants.
I honestly thought it would never get me.
I'm DV'd (DJ'd?) but havent had opportunity of a booster yet. I've only had the mildest of cold-like symptoms since then and generally felt 90% fine, but isolating of course - I live in the same house as my mum (60+ & asthmatic) and brother. She's 'boosted' and aside from some mild cold symptoms she's fine, thankfully nothing to worry about.
Mrs CB (48, double jabbed) works in a pub and had avoided it until she succombed to illness on Monday and had to be sent home, I don't know if I've passsed it onto her or what's happened, but she's in a bad way. (I was with her saturday night before I had any symptoms, she took her 70+ frail  mum for a hopsital appointment on Monday and also saw her 80+ Dad on Sunday)
Lots of sobbing from her on the phone, can hardly stand up let alone walk, might phone me at 3pm sounding 'ok', but again at 6pm absolutely knackered and delirious ("Happy Christmas tomorrow!" on the 16th) , ready to sleep for another 10 hours and can't even remember anything she told me 3 hours pior.
She's someone who generally writes off pain and buggers on with it, but is totally wiped out by this. Thankfully her parents are OK (triple jabbed) with no symptoms but if the infection varies from hardly any impact at all (me) to a massive impact (her) then it doesn't really matter how mild it is for the majority, you still have to, or should, take care and ensure, even if you even if you feel it's "nothing" , that it isn't covid.
Not sure what point I'm trying to make, but if I'd simply ignored my ill feeling as 'a cold' there would be quite a lot of people out there I could very easily have been infected, and while I'd hope in that case their symptoms would only have matched mine (which previously I'd never have in a million years have put down as something potentially serious) I'd hate the thought of another person being laid as low as Mrs CB is - you just don't know on a per-person basis what impact it'll have.

I seem to recall it would be a substantial deposit due from the preferred bidder that would cover us until the remainder of the season.

We hope to go back in August, if the North Sea Beer Festival gets off the ground in Ostend.
There are 3 breweries in Bruges:
Brouwerij De Halve Maan Famous for Straffe Hendrik and Brugse Zot beers, they do a nice brewery tour (which involves ladders and climbing through a window). Brilliant view from the roof of the brewery. The brewery courtyard is a great place to drink in the summer Bourgogne Des Flandres Their flagship beer goes by the same name - it's a wonderful Flemish Red beer, a blend of Timmermans lambic and Bruinen Os. They also do a good brewery trip. They do an excellent 'sampler paddle' of half a dozen beers. Lovely balcony drinking area which overlooks the canal. Fort Lapin Just outside the old city walls, unlike the other two. They don't do brewery trips. A new brewery, they are craft beer specialists. Their Fort Lapin Quad is outstanding There are some brilliant bars in Bruges:
Cafe Rose Red Has hundreds of red roses hanging from the ceiling. If you propose there and she accepts, they give you a rose. I plan to be there on my golden wedding anniversary. The only place where I've had 10 year aged Orval. About 100 metres from the Markt. Le Trappiste Specialise in Trappist beers About 300 metres from the Markt Cellar bar with something like 25 beers on tap, they do a great sampler paddle. Watch the steps Staminee De Garre A must-visit bar, you need to be fairly early because there is no standing and only about 15 tables (on two floors) Right next to the Belfort, down an unassuming little alley. Use Google Maps or you'll miss it. Tripel De Garre is brewed especially for them by Van Steenberge (Gulden Draak, Piraat etc). At one time, it was only possible to buy it 'Het Vat' (on draught) at the bar, but it is now available in bottles (I just had 8 sent over last week - it's my favourite beer of all time) A glass of the house Tripel always comes with an accompanying dish of the local cheese (which is equally lovely) 't Brugs Beertje Another fantastic bar with 3 or 4 hundred different beers Just off one of the main shopping streets Lovely snacks/nibbles De Bierboom Run/owned by my mate Rudy Vossen Lovely little bar on Langestraat Beer and Absinthe The beer shop of Brouwerij De Vier Monniken (the four monks), brew the Monachus range of beers. Monachus XII is simply stunning falling-over water. Cafe Halte 5 Right next to the railway station nice cosy bar for the first or last beer in Bruges.
