I actually don’t think Q has played a blinder, and there are criticisms I could make (particularly regarding some naive comments about how long it might take), but I do appreciate what a basket case of a liquidation they took on. Morris left them with a crock of poo, and it seems to me he has been a pain in the arse subsequently in regards to a) quickly resolving the Boro matter and b) being more accommodating regarding the stadium sale.
You may recall that a few months back that you were arguing strongly with me that Morris had, and would have, no influence over the proceedings; that MSD were in control of the stadium situation because of their fixed charges, blah de blah. You were as wrong then as you are now in your back and forth with @duncanjwitham, who very ably popped your overinflated view earlier today.
It seems to me Q had no choice but to accept CK’s proposal, as he was the only one at the end offering to buy the club without the stadium.
My wife thinks you are a complete arse. Of course that is not my opinion as that would be against forum rules.

If someone has £100m plus there is usually some evidence. A large company. Not one with a £60m tur over and 20 employees.
I suspect he is the front man for others, if so, he should have admitted this.
We are desperate but I just hope we don't waste more time on a dead end.

Isn't anyone else worried that 2 reports now state CK is only worth around £3-5m?

Ive yet to see any evidence that he has a substantial amount of money.
Ie £100m
If he hasn't got that is either
A) Borrowing against the club
B) Just a front man
Or
C) Wasting everyone's time

Beggars can’t be choosers and all that, and obviously we don’t know the terms of the deal, but struggling to get too excited about this development.
CK comes over as a bit of a knob in my view, but has clearly been able to accumulate a good amount of wealth very quickly in the tech world. No real football background. The stadium isn’t being bought, which everyone hoped for (including Q), which means Mel and MSD still able to pull some strings if we come out of admin.
Also the talk is that the -15 point issue is to be discussed, which suggests that his bid for the club is actually quite low (and that Morris/MSD are determined to hang around for their take at some stage down the track).
Anyway, we are beggars, and an unappealing option is better than no option.

The administrators have moaned about someone dragging out the process and wasting time.
I wonder who that could be.

With the spiralling cost of fuel and other essential items, particularly the cost of heating your home, it has been been reported that a further million people will be plunged into poverty over the next month, with half of them children. Many families will be faced will the awful choice of eating or heating.
The UK average spend of food and drink is £40 a week. However many survive on a fraction of this. Therefore to shine a light on this, experience a little and raise some money, My lad and I will be living on £1 a day each on food and drink for a week, a total of £14 for the two of us.
We are going to start this on Easter Monday (a kind of belated lent) and hopefully manage the full 7 days. Obviously this won't be easy but I won't pretend this is anything like suffering many people will be going through around the country.
Almost 2 years ago, David and I launched a campaign on here to raise money for the Derby Mission Food Bank when many people were laid off due to Covid. I am looking to do the same again, with anyone who can afford it donating to the same cause. I am hoping we can raise £1000. I will be donating the difference in what I would normally spend on a supermarket shop for the two of us.
I will set up a specific DCFC Fans donate account and provide a link in the next couple of days.
In the meantime, maybe posters could share experiences and ideas around this area. Many on here will be able to donate but many posters may also need help, so I hope we can come together and help each other.
I will do a diary entry on here on how we manage, how we shop, what we eat and how we feel.

People believing in MMT is the major reason why I am invested in gold because when all the endless money printing and national debt spirals out of control, the price of gold is going to the moon because most other assets will crash.
We cannot afford another lock down and sadly I think most people have no stomach to take sensible precautions either.
Most people at work think we should just treat it like the common cold.
I will wear a mask whenever I think it’s appropriate and avoid crowded spaces especially in doors, social distance and use hand sanitizer whenever possible.

Watched it again last night. Knowing the ending didn't detract from it one iota.

It's an utter gut-wrencher, and I need a fresh box of tissues every time I watch.
(The same can be said for other movies - just not in the same way).

Schindlers List - Netflix
I've wanted to watch this for the 30 years it's been out but the wife never did and I was hesitant that it would just depress me.
The was going out on Saturday and as it gets thrown off Netflix at the end of this month I thought I'd watch it.
Totally remarkable.
Seldom have I seen a film where the acting, screenwriting and direction are all almost flawless.
I can see why it scores 9.0 on IMDb.
A harrowing yet heart lifting story and not for the squeamish.
It's tough to say you enjoyed a movie like this for obvious reasons, but jeez if you haven't watched it you probably should.
