If the admin teams use the line "we are still hopeful we can announce our preffered bidder by the end of December" that will be enough for me to know we are doomed.
Tomorrow we need to be hearing they have identified their preffered bidder and are ironing out details before announcing. 
December has 31 days (just in case you didn't know), but realistically, how many days are those administrators going to work during Christmas? So something needs to happen in the next 10 days.

I'm past the stage of caring what Mel had to say. He's just trying to apportion the blame to everyone bar himself. 

I am call out to all Derby fans to start chanting save our club. If we lose Derby county I will be lost with out it in my life. I will not have anything left to look forward to at the weekends and I will be depressed as hell.

If we are only able to start him once more, we better use it wisely!

I'm really pleased for young Liam, he's been playing great for the under 23s and fully deserved his start today. Workrate and heart was excellent. Never let his head drop.

Like a new signing for us whilst under embargo. Frustrating he's had to wait so long to be eligible to play.
When the dark clouds pass, if we can make it through without losing our young talent, the future is clearly bright.

Brentford signed Benrahma and Watkins for about 2million each in 2017 and 2018. When they amortised these players on a straight line basis, their values in 2020 when they both sold them to PL league clubs would have been about the 1million mark on their BS after they both had an excellent 19/20 season in the championship. 
They both moved to the PL in the summer of 2020 for 30million plus, surely with the EFL's outdated amortisation method they would have been worth much more than 1million on their BS the end of that season?
Is that something akin to resembling the amortisation method we used and interpreted FR102 on our accounts?

YESSSSS is that what he said?!  - wanted Thompson to start all season (understand why he couldn’t) seen him play two or three times and he reminds me of a billy gilmour type. Think he’ll have a big future and hope if he does play tomorrow it goes well! Bird shinnie and Thompson midfield could really control games. 

Actually I don't think EFL are entitled to insist on straight line amortisation. There is nothing in their rules that allows then to do that.
But really i wouldnt give a figgy which method the EFL insisted on. If they had insisted on straight line in 2016 then fair enough. But then letting us adopt something else and then charging us four years later for using a different one, and then penalising us again for overspending as a result, well that is just ridiculous in my view.
 

I've written before that I have a neighbour who was a partner in Ernst and Young. He is extremely scathing about straight line amortisation as being "accurate" in all situations. 
He described several factors on which he thought a non straight line basis was a "better" method. Age of player, gaining international caps, having a good season etcetera 
So the EFL, in insisting amortisation has to be straight line are simply setting an arbitrary rule. 
Which they are entitled to do. But stop the pretence that you have written down the rule based upon some theoretical purity. 

He wasn't talking about 'starting him tomorrow' - he said he was getting close to the first team. I think we're allowed to play him now because at the date of the Budget Agreement with the EFL he's not classed as one of the maximum 25 Permitted Players even if he now plays for the first XI (because he's not played in 3 League matches).

Couldn't bring myself to follow the game today after yesterday's news, but great reaction from the crowd,  staff and players to get the win.

Wow. What a day. It was special. A day I will never forget. 17,000 Derby fans but it may as well have been 30,000 such was the noise and every fan 100% behind the team and the coaching staff. 
Then the game. What a performance. Some superb counter attacking and glimpses of real quality. Ravel at times today (especially in the first half) was equal to Stefano Eranio   with those passes in the box, magical. Stunning goal from Max Bird who was also outstanding in the first half (what a player he is). Baldock should’ve scored, Ravel should’ve scored, we should’ve been 3-0 up and out of sight but then the Ince goal made it nervy. That said never had any doubts we would close it out. To a man the players were superb today and showed they care. Likewise Rooney and Rosenior. 
 
I was in tears at full time, so proud of all of them and for the fans unbelievable support of them. It felt like we’re in this together. duck the rest of the football world, duck Mel Morris, no bitching about 3 wins in 20 odd and Rooney isn’t the right man. Everyone backing the team backing the coaches backing the club, backing each other - as one. It was truly special.
Its to be a part of days like today is why I’m a football fan and why I love this club so dearly. It will be a bumpy road but if we stick together we will come back stronger!!

I understand that tonight many questions will be asked, both of the club and myself. 
Tonight as the news was broke, I was sat in the pub, still am, it's hit me hard as I'm sure it has you all, I was not expecting it, there was no pre warning, no hint of what was to come.
I also understand that over the years my opinion has been questioned, it's something I have had to deal with, sometimes poorly, but with the best and honest of intentions.
Tonight I am hurting, just as much as you all, this is the club I love, the club I adore, the club I have tattooed on my hand for all to see with pride. 
I love this club, please just think when posting over the next few days, weeks in anger, myself, the moderators, we do not deserve to be on the end of your anger or frustration.
Today is a dark day for the club, but as fans, we need to to stick together. We are Derby County, every one of us and we will move forward as one.
