So frustrating, I thought they missed their chance in injury time when they headed over. Really poor game management once we took the lead and another poor performance under this manager.

That mistake by Sonny Bradley in the build up to the sending off was awful. This lad is a calamity.

Hudson Odoi is a superb signing for them. Even if it doesn't work out they'll recoup the money they spent on him in two or three years.

I just hope this hasn't messed up the prep for today's game.
Warne may have made the decision to not include him because of the uncertainty, so I'll be pleasantly surprised if he's in the 11, so long as he himself hadn't been affected too much, which IMO was the reasoning, in combination of the new partners/tactics, that he was so poor, relative to his standards, in 1st couple of games.
Time will tell if it not getting over the line yesterday is a good or bad thing, especially if the report of the 4 month loan back was the compromise due to us needing to replace him if he had of left fully. Personally, I think a fee North of £2.5m and loan to Jan was a good deal.
Even if he's not in the frame of mind to play, he's a better option than Sonny Bradley.

If he isn't too expensive, we should go all out before the deadline to get this guy. He will get 20+ goals in this league and if we get to the championship he'll score goals to keep us there. 29 isn't that old either.

I think back to the playoff semifinal away at Brighton. We knew that we were light years ahead of them. Yes they had a nice new ground with comfy seats and guest ales, and yes they scored first, but we never doubted we would overcome them. We did and then some. If you'd told me then what our relative positions would be now, I'd have thought you'd lost your mind.
Brighton are one of several very well run clubs with great planning and business models who have risen up the leagues and are now established in the Prem. Of course they had some luck when it was needed, something we have fallen down on. But sometimes you make your own luck. If you're Eirin Cashin and you have the chance to go, and to try to prove yourself in the top flight, and an opportunity for the riches a club such as Brighton can now offer, you jump at it in an instant. You'd be mad not to. For our sake, I love watching Eirin for us and hope he stays and we can rise up through the leagues together. The way he plays all over the pitch even reminds me of McFarland, sometimes on the left wing! I'm not suggesting for even a nanosecond he's at that level, but equally I scoff at anyone who believes he's already reached his ceiling. What madness is that?
I agree, I was listening to Ed Dawes the other day and he thought he already hit his ceiling. Madness he's only 21. Some centre backs don't reach their peaks until their mid to late twenties.

Hello Rotherham, do you want your manager back?
-
First home win of the season, but that was hard work.
-
I don't want to lose him but if we got 3mil plus and a loan back for the season that would be good business, especially considering he only has 1 year left on his contract.
At least under Clowes we might become a much better selling club than we were under Mel. Remember selling Will Hughes for a packet of peanuts and a bag of skittles.

Warne said there were parts in the second half when we played well haha.
-
Roseniors results and performances were way better than this and he got the boot. I wonder what Clowes is thinking.
-
I wanted to give Warne 10-15 games before I made a judgment call, but this is really just a horrendous performance. Can't see any upside to playing this way.

Absolutely abysmal

He did miss a sitter though! Only kidding, today showed why he is vitally important to keep in this transfer window.

Agreed and I understand he's very annoyed but if I was him, I'd have an open discussion and apologise to the players tomorrow for that comment
Yeah these comments will be all over social media and they need to be nipped in the bud.
-
I think he said those comments as he was clutching at straws to make an excuse for such an abject display.

So the last goal we conceded last season was from an underhit back pass and the first goal we concede this season is from an underhit back pass. Some things never change.
-
If we sell Bird, and can't get adequate replacements or reinvest much of the money into the squad. What was the point of Warne dropping a division to manage us. It would be totally baffling to sell him now.

Great ball by NML and great finish by Korey Smith.
