Why do these administrators give us deadlines?
-
To be honest if Rooney said he was leaving a week ago or two weeks ago when CK's takeover fell through, everyone would have went into full panic mode and with him walking then we would have definitely feared the worst.
He probably waited until we got some good news, but made his mind up a week or two ago and didn't want to increase the anxiety among the fanbase by letting the fans know his decision then.

If the new owner goes for someone like Evatt then the club will owe compo. Will we even be able to appoint a manager that's at a club already even if the compo wouldn't be that substantial?

Might they be taking a loan out against future season ticket income?
Yeah true as match tickets are our only true source of income, still doesn't give me hope though.

Something has to be done to focus a few minds on the bigger picture here - seems some of the rich folk are still looking for a cut-price deal.....
Can it really be so hard for Q to set out the minimum amount that needs to be paid to meet each of the scenarios (2 years, 3 years, -15 points) and then set a deadline when the amount the potential buyers need to have submitted their final and best bid - whoever bids the largest amount wins. If no-one meets the lowest price (-15 points), then Q will begin liquidation proceedings. The alternative is that this farce staggers on for many more months with the occassional drip-feed of cash to pay the wages.....
This.
If we can't get a new owner now, can you seriously see us securing one during the season. If Q are taking out a loan circa 3-5 million for new players, season tickets and June's Wages, it's only going to add more debt to an already dire situation. Q need to set a new deadline for a new owner, because I can't bare to see this farce continue into next season.

So yesterday we hear Natalie Jackson report that Appleby tabled a 50mil bid. Now the mirror report that Appleby and Morgan are considering a joint bid. What is it then?

I don't mind this deal. If he stayed with us for the season he would miss 2 months of it anyway going to the World Cup. We get money now and hopefully the season after we sell him for millions or keep him if we get promoted.

I reckon Steve Morgan and MA both want to buy the stadium. It could take weeks to finalise anything.

I agree we will be stuck on another EFL business plan, buying poor League 1/2 players and attendances will be way down and affect revenue. Makes no sense to me to lowball the creditors

I'm confused as to where the 1pm thing came from?
@Mostyn6said it would all be sorted by 1pm today?♂️

Why was 1pm suppose to be a deadline?

Don't know if this has been answered yet, but who apparently paid the wages for May.

We need to get some kind of statement from the Admin later surely to tell us, if/if not CK's funds have gone through

Becayse the money came via a traditional business source, not crypto currency
All 5 billion? It must have had some question marks considering that there would have been a lot of checks on the individuals and their sources of funds in this combined consortium.

It's great news that a deal is ready to go on the sale of the stadium, but it depends on the sale of the club. At least Kirchners team pushed to get one of the biggest obstacles out of the way if his deal collapses.
Hopefully means Ashley or Applebly are ready to go if it's goes awry.

To be fair, the Preston fans did warn us. They said he'd been sussed and there was no money.
I didn't want to blieve it at the time. But appears he was just a front for borrowed money, and it's all fallen through.
He has no money.
I didn't believe he was going to takeover until he said on twitter that he exchanged contracts with the Admin. I would have then expected all the due diligence between Q and the EFL to have been satisfied with his financials and his plan in taking over the club. You get that far and for it now to be collapsing is just another sad indictment of this long process.

I genuinely believed this deal was going to go through. On that evidence I think it's over. So damn frustrating

The takeover has to happen this week. 5 full working days and whatever needs to be resolved should be. No more excuses, no more bank holidays, the EFL need to make it their priority that this takeover goes through this week(I know they're not to be trusted). Fixtures out next week and pre season starts the week after.

Not kicking on from two 8th placed finishes under the Bald Eagle and bringing in a lot of dross. We could have seen European football again with the right approach.
QPR play off final, if that team had been promoted, we'd be an established PL side now, I'm convinced.
This, although I was too young to really appreciate those two top half in a row PL finishes in the late 90s. I totally agree about the QPR final.
New signings, who will be first...and next?
