Three bids on the table despite the position with HMRC. One of the bids involves Gadsby - like him or loathe him won’t let club go to the wall. Yet seen comments that we’re miles away from a takeover and it looks like liquidation. Honestly some people - get a grip! There is nothing in Jim’s post that Indicates they won’t name a preferred bidder next week and if things were so negative then why would they tell the whole squad and staff what’s happening as Rooney confirmed the other day?! Previous comms has just been with Rooney.

Honestly think people just see what they want to see rather than take what is said.

For us wizzened old gits surely Dave Mackay's superb volley at the Ossie end to bring the score back to 1-1 in that epic League Cup match against Chelsea in 1968 must be up there.
I always said I wanted my ashes scattered from where he hit that ball.  I only hope the current residents don't mind a pile of burnt human remains in their front room!
Still the best game I've ever seen in 60 years of watching football and I was only 15 years old then.
    Where has it all gone?

There’s more chance of him walking away because his man Kirchner doesn’t get preferred bidder status than him getting the Everton gig.

I reckon if you're trying desperately to show the manager that you should be getting more first team action you're probably going to be a little more selfish / always try for the spectacular
Also worth noting that a certain ex-Manager of ours was known for his prolific 'wastefulness' - One of the worst shots to goals ratios in the PL (I remember his rate of return being unfavourably compared to Huddlestone at one point) - Chap also scored more goals for Chelsea than anyone else ever, is the only PL midfielder to score more than 150 PL goals and is 4th in the all time PL assists ranking
I often think one of our biggest problems is we try and walk the ball into the net - Always trying to create the 'perfect' chance - Lawrence is the only one who seems to speculate on a half chance every now and then - Wouldn't be the worst thing to have another player in there who can/will do the same

    Absolutely abysmal.
The penis drawings are some of the worst ive ever seen. Nursery kids can do far better than that, I can only assume that the good folk of Prestbury are too posh to have learnt the art of penis drawing properly when they were kids.

If I would have been there...I would not have applauded or booed him, If fans want to then so be it, But don't forget this, We as fans have the right to do what WE believe is best for us, Either by word or action, Not many are able to walk up to Keogh and tell him what they think of him GOOD or BAD, So the only way is to applaud or Boo, Coconut's Beard needs no support from me but I get where he is...it's that thing that you love that has been shat on in some peoples opinion that gets under our skin.

It's not just an easy thing to say though, that's just an easy thing to say!
I dare say that 99% of footballers and 99% of people on here wouldn't be so stupid as to put themselves in his position in the first place, allowing their own idiocy to lead as a result to a situation where they lose the use of the one thing they require to do their job.
I'm not really sure what you think is so severe about being offered a chance to keep your employment status on a lower wage with free use of rehabilitation facilities. Its more than anyone should expect in the circumstances.
You wouldn't get that in any other job, you'd expect to be sacked.
If I was a professional hand model and one day me and a mate got drunk before deciding to trim a hedge in the garden (not a euphemism!), but through a bit of miscommunication my fellow trimmer managed to slice off a couple of my fingers (his fault! he was in control of the dangerous machinery not me!) I wouldn't then expect my employer to pay me for future work not completed, or to pay for the surgery to reconstruct my gammy hand!
The law doesn't really come into it, none of this outside of the drink driving has been dealt with by any proper way of law.

I think with the benefit of hindsight, it is not a huge reach to think that Mel saw an opportunity to reduce the wage bill by sacking Keogh for his behaviour. Daft, impulsive and I dare say incorrect.
It is also not a massive reach to say that perhaps Alfie, I mean Richard, could have acted with some humility, accepted he was considerably to blame for the injuries he received and “took his medicine” so to speak by recognising picking up £5k a week sitting on his arse, benefitting from world class facilities in his recovery from injuries he sustained from his own brain dead stupidity, was perhaps not such a bad situation, with a probable contract on offer again if he proved his fitness again, as he has done.
Maybe his case has shown legally he was correct in doing what he did but not everything has to be looked at through a narrow legal perspective and as ever not everything is binary.
The interview with the Guardian may well have been unfortunately timed, or perhaps cynically so. Either way it was an insult to the fans and the staff who were made redundant that very week, when the c.£2m he received could have paid their salaries for the next few years.
I have no sympathy for him now, I’ll have no sympathy for him when he gets a horrendous amount of stick tomorrow.

Accept a lower wage while I was out of action because of my own lack of care for my own physical condition. Be thankful that my employer didn't take a far harsher route in dealing with me.
Work hard to to regain the trust of the people who'd employed be for many years despite me making high profile mistakes which cost my employer tens of millions.
Recognise that while I was unfortunate to only 1 of 5 injured in a completely unavoidable incident, it's tough luck, life isn't fair.
Same as most of us, unless we're entitled dheads with an inflated sense of self worth.

Yes, I would have done the same as Keogh. That isn't really the point, if I had been in Keogh's situation and had done the same as he had done, I would also accept that most fans would hate me for it.

Don't conflate the issues, Keogh is more than entitled to claim his money. Why would any Derby fan support him for doing that though?
He's entitled to do it, I'm entitled to think he's a banker for doing it.

In that respect you're right. However I think the only reason he won his claim is that it was held in the EFLs kangaroo court.
In a proper court of law I think we had a strong case for gross misconduct on his part. Hopefully his tainted money brings him endless unhappiness.

I think apologist is a bit derogatory. It ultimately went bad for Mel, he did all the right things to start with but at a certain point when he got caught in a perfect storm he handled it badly and clearly has done things that leave a sour taste. Reflecting generally over those plus and minus factors - understanding how he / we ended up like this without all the emotive finger pointing, isn’t being an apologist it’s being logical, factual and rational.

Who are these people? Name and shame!
I can only really think of 2, maybe 3 posters who remotely fit your description and 1 of them might just be a duplicate account of another, conspicuous by their absence.
Mel Morris ultimately being at fault (/a massive <word that would get this post removed for personal abuse>)  doesn't just wipe out the negative contributions of other people and other factors that lead us here.
You seem to have designated a little tag of 'Mel apologists' to anyone who even dares mention anyone/anything else though, so your list is probably bigger than my list.
I'd suggest you're boiling your own piss far more than anyone else is.

It seems like only yesterday that the English F.A we’re forcing the Rams to field a team of schoolboys to play our F.A Cup fixture v Chorley, after the club had a serious Covid 19 outbreak. UEFA have agreed to cancel tomorrow nights fixture v Rennes, and their game against Brighton on Sunday is under review. Haven’t they got a youth team ??
