I'll probably get slated for this, but my initial reaction upon hearing it on RD... and backed up by seeing it here... is:

Yeah yeah... kid... hero... I get that.
But there's a time and a place for kids meeting/getting selfies... in fact, quite a few times and places, with a bit of planning... but this particular time and place just ain't it.
I can only assume the usual, and added security, were all surrounding "Curly Sue and The Parmolettes"? 
 
When do 8 year olds become 12 year olds become 15 year olds become knife wielding thugs?  Who is drawing that line, and where is it being drawn?
He didn't shout Rooney over from nearby seats, or hold up a begging Banner... He literally ran half the length of the pitch (Assuming he came from the same place he returned to?)
 
No.  This gets a big thumbs down from me.

Shame on the boys parent(s)/guardian(s) (whether they were there or not, and whether they were encouraging it or not).
Sad to see Rooney play along with it, instead of shooing the lad away, or at least stepping back, but it's fair to say, he's actually in a no-win situation there, and I can fully understand his reaction, so I'm loathe to "Shame" him too. 
He should not be put in that position.

Come on. Just look at his record ? 4 trophies with Alfreton, got Oxford and Northampton promoted and took League 1 Sheff Utd to a mid table Premiership finish. Now has a 57% win rate at Boro. Pretty damn impressive in my book.

It might be bloody-minded of me, but if Quantuma have (finally) been allowed to name a PB - after the EFL & Boro blocked it for 2 months, IMHO in a calculated fashion, and caused squad decimation and the prospect of liquidation, I'd be minded to decline the EFL bustards.
I hope the fan groups demand a prompt approval of the PB. And an apology.
The EFL fudged and farted their way along the transfer window, on strings manipulated by Gibson, until the damage was done and last-ditch interventions via MPs etc were required.
Maybe the EFL are now conscious of the attention that will turn upon themselves and they want to 'make friends' with fan groups perceived to be capable of wielding influence over the DCFC fanbase. No anti-EFL petitions, please, look how we solved it for you!

They were deducted 25 points after going into administration, leaving them 20 points adrift at the bottom of the table. 
They finished 6th, 24 points ahead of 9th and 10th.
Their joint second top goalscorer with 8 goals?
This man.

Efl would like to correct misleading statements that have appeared in the media.
Is There a vendetta against Derby ? No
Efl has brokered a solution by suggesting that Morris, Gibson, Hmrc and msd all get together and two of them have taken up this offer.
So now mr Gibson will not be suing Derby County after all. 
and we hope Boro get 3 points tomorrow and get to the Premier league so they don’t sue us instead.
 

Perhaps the brave souls attending the game on Saturday can serenade public enemy number 1 with a little ditty to the celebrated tune of Steve Bloomers watching.

Roger Davies has replied to a post I put on Facebook saying that the club are arranging something! The other lads didn’t seem to know about it so hopefully someone is setting something up, they need something on the pitch aswell as a private get together to give all of the fans an opportunity to remind them how well thought of they all are.

As soon as we get new owners in I will be writing to them with my Rams Heritage Trust hat on and asking that something is sorted for the final game of the season, hopefully it can be a staying up party and and a massive show of appreciation for what those lads did for our club and put our Derby County on the world footballing map !

Think this needs it's own thread/campaign.

That's what for me is so depressing about all this, we should be spending our time and energy celebrating the 50th anniversary of our greatest season ever and instead of all the crap we are having to invest all of that in fighting with a bunch of people who I wouldn't even give a second thought to if I said hello to in the street. My old man and my grandad are spinning. 

Think this needs it's own thread/campaign.

Even if we go down, the last game needs to be a huge celebration marking the 50 years. 

An amazing Golden anniversary. If more reason was needed to preserve this amazing Club. Testament to what can be achieved when a legendary Striker takes over a Club on its knees and lifts them, through sheer determination, character and personality ( I could be talking 2022 as well as 1972)

As Champions of England, that's two generations of football fans, not just two generations of Derby fans.  Two generations country wide... Europe wide... World wide!
That's a hefty number of football fans to get behind the cause, give those memories a shout out, and help #Save Derby County.
