Both players signed contracts that included an optional year that the club could choose to activate. The club took up the option and both players are trying to weasel their way out of those contracts - they deserve to be treated with the upmost contempt....
The message is quite simple - don't sign a contract if you don't intend to honour it.
I'm far from convinced that TUPE applies in this situation but regardless of that, we own their registrations and any club that signs them should be found guilty of tapping them up. If they're really determined to leave, I'm sure we'll be happy if they want to pay up the remainding year of their contacts....

An update, said officer did get in touch and apologised that no one took it on yesterday, he promptly got things moving took the evidence I had gathered and went round to the address and collected our furniture loaded into the back of their van and delivered it back to us. Community policing in action. He said it would be difficult to get a conviction cos the cctv was not clear and it would be hard to prove who actually stole it, but they have been trying to evict the family for years and this hopefully will be enough points against them to secure this. Faith restored for the boys in blue.

friendly Villa fan here.
Just wanna say with regard to Conor, what a top signing he will be for you, he does have his limitations, specifically that he isnt super mobile and isnt what you would class as a "warrior".
However, he is super professional, has a wand of a left foot in terms of free kicks and the odd goal here and there, in League 1 he will be a huge asset im sure.
He doesnt have an issue with injuries etc, so nothing to worry about from that stand point.
