Forest 1 down, Luton 1 up
Won't count my chickens before they hatch, but it's a good startBoth 1-1 now - interesting to hear the commentary on 5-live saying how the 'wonderful' florest fans were getting on the player's backs when they were losing - thought they'd be above that and supporting their team 🤣
-
A lots of Alonso fan boys blaming Russell for the crash - oblivious to the fact that the stewards have access to all of Alonso’s telemetry data and can see he had braked earlier and was way slower through the corner than he had been during the rest of the race - even Brundle queried why he was so slow after one viewing of the replay - guess Fernando doesn’t want the Merc seat next season after all….
-
Another player that can’t cope with the level of expectation that comes with playing for the Rams - needs to restrict himself to playing for small clubs like Luton….
-
A proper F1 race - first for a couple of seasons - but way outdone by yet another brilliant MotoGP race - Pedro Acosta is some prospect….

Southgate 'happy' with the England performance - loser mentatilty......

MotoGP sprint race was a cracker - really looking forward to the main event tomorrow - conversely I’m recording the F1 race and will probably watch 30 minutes or so on fast forward if Max disappears off into the distance….

Sergio Perez demoted to P6 after receiving a three-place grid penalty for impeding Nico Hulkenberg - Lando now 3rd on the grid

My one last thought on this, which I was meant to bring up yesterday, but is it quite likely that Forest are going for appeal because essentially does a point deduction mean they accept guilt and the punishment would then allow last years relegated clubs to go ahead with legal action against Forest for loss of income?
I think their main driver is that stamping their feet and threatening to cry hasn't worked so an appeal is all they have left
If they do appeal, the 2 points that were removed from the penalty thanks to them cooperating should immediately be reinstated - and if I had my way, the penalty should be doubled if (when) they lose the case again (which as they are clearly guilty is what should happen)

And they’ve drawn Coventry in the semis. So many things this season have papered over the cracks of a rubbish team. They’ll all point to an fa cup final as an achievement. It’ll end up being Chelsea vs United, the two biggest underachievers this season, that deserve nothing, and one of them will win the fa cup.
not that I wanted Liverpool to win it either, so it’s all a bit meh. Good game though.
I started watching wanting both teams to lose - but the more the idiot commentator banged on about Klipperty's farewell season, I gradually began to hope Utd might sneak it - I still detest Man Ure, but as you say, a cup win will paper over the cracks and might give ten Hag the chance to under achieve again next year....

Went to Chesterfield many years ago when the Rams didn't have a game - stopped by the poice on the way to the ground and asked if we were home or away - when we told him we were Derby fans who just wanted to see a game, he told us we must be crakcers to go and watch 'that lot'....

Reports that Reading are on the verge of being sold to some Yanks - is it cynical to think that the Reading owner may have used Wycombe and the training ground sale in order to extert pressure on the new buyers to get a move on?

Statement expected today.
I don't care who the parties involved are, this doesn't sit well with me at all. I don't think it does anything but make Reading a harder sell.
Next step Admin for them by the look of it - it's hard to see a positive way forward for them as they're now even less attractive than they were before....

How much is the land worth for housing ? It is the ambulance chaser remember
Perhaps he wants to make use of a bigger car park?.....

Just had a gander on the Readfing forums - someone has raised a great point regarding the running costs of the training ground and how a tin pot club like Wycombe can afford it - and that's ignoring the £50m cost of building the place and what it's actually cost the ambulance chaser to buy it.....

Tragic, yet another defeat - I wonder who they will blame ths time?

The only exciting part was Oli Bearman having enough pace over Lando and Lewis at the end.
Haas did well to sneak a point.
Albon had a nice couple of moves mugging Yuki and ocon.
Stroll driving into the wall kind of ended up killing the race in a lot of ways.
Danny Ric got so fed up being behind Logan Sargent all race he spun on his own.
p1 max, P2 Checo, P3 Leclerc, p4 piastri (good job), p5 Alonso (good job), P6 Russell, p7 Oli Bearman (good debut in difficult circumstances p8 Lando, p9 Lewis, p10 Hulkenberg (good job), p11 Albon (good job), p12 ocon, p13 Yuki, p14 Sargent, p15 K-mag (after penalty), p16 Danny Ric, p17 Bottas p18 Zhou.
Right MotoGP tomorrow to revive my faith in Motorsport.
MotoGP has more excitement in one lap than the whole of the latest F1 borefest - today’s sprint race being a case in point - and great to see Marc Marquez on the Duke and being competitive after the horrible time he’s had on the Honda in recent seasons…..
