I’m inclined to think that if serious buyers were in the process of buying Derby then they would be professional enough to keep their business activities quiet until everything had been concluded.

Assuming there’s actually anything to this, that could describe Andy Appleby’s consultancy that matches suitable prospective owners with clubs. Fingers crossed.

I didn't like it much when it went quiet during the Sheik takeover.
I don't really like it much when Alonso talks about £20 million players and the Champions League
I have decided to confine my immediate worrying to avoiding relegation this season, once we are safe, I will review my options and pick something else to worry about, there always plenty of choice when you support Derby. ??

It’s difficult to see why anyone would want to buy a football club other than to strip it of its assets or as a vanity project. No matter how much money you have surely you would want to limit your own risk by sharing it with other investors, if you can find some. 
 
From to the last weeks press it appears that the purchase of Derby might be a vanity project.  
 
It does make you wonder where the money has come from.
