Ellafella got a reaction from SKRam in Proud Ram in Peace
I was at Pompey the other night. Still buzzing from it; pure theatre. My lasting memory though will be the support in the Away end. Got to my seat 10 minutes pre-ko & the Rams were in full voice with a new song that was mesmerising & unusually had zero references to penises. The singing never stopped for the 98 minute duration and it was at times transcendental. Or summat. Made me feel very proud of Derbyshire. Hope we can keep that up in the last 4 fixtures. We really need those flanges…almost like @B4ev6is is conducting events - because it’ll be a fantastic day if we do the …<fill in the blanks>.

Ellafella reacted to Steve Bloomer's Washing in NEW SBW PODCAST: 'Frantic Fratton Thriller' ☔
Hey all, our latest SBW podcast is out now, after a slight delay (blame the school holidays...)
After catching their breath, Chris and Anton are joined by a soggy Richard Cutcher, fresh from his trip to the south coast, where Derby gained a valuable point - and avoided defeat - in the crucial top two clash at Portsmouth. We analyse the main talking points (including the fox on the pitch), and ask if Pompey was the game where Corey Blackett-Taylor finally arrived as a Ram.
There's yet more praise for Ebou Adams and his incredible mental fortitude to play whilst fasting for Ramadan, another inevitable mention for the fantastic Nathaniel Mendez-Laing, and our latest attempt at wondering how many more points Derby need to secure promotion.

Just my observation on some Sibley bashing I've seen, and especially wrt the goal.....
Kamara is the form winger in the division at the minute and overall I think it was a fairly even battle between them, not bad for a full time left back, but a makeshift one, come on, give him some credit!
I'd argue that for the goal he'd held his line and anticipated Kamara running behind into an offside position...... if Cashin hadn't have been quite so tight Bishop may not have flicked the ball past him, or he could have intercepted it, if Nelson wasn't too deep Kamara would definitely have been offside instead of one of those VAR questionable ones, why was Nelson so deep I hear no one asking as it's easier to Sibley bash for 'losing his man', which I think is a tad unfair.....
Just my opinion.

I would have come on last night but I'd had a few 'settlers' before the game and followed up with a couple of glasses of wine when I get in to decompress - so was less capable of typing than usual.
Proper game of football last night - not sure whether the conditions were a leveller or just added to the spectacle - but suspect both sides were happy with the draw, whilst wondering what might have been.
I thought you were set up really well (credit to both Warne and the players for executing) - you looked better than any of the other top sides who we've hosted this season. I genuinely hope we both make it up via the automatics.
Take care of yourselves, Rams. Hopefully see you all next season in the league above.

Nice and annoying to be proved right. At least one of your goals was result of LB going awol.
Told you! I also said one of main strengths was character.....not giving up. Few would have
predicted Moxon would smash ball in from 25 yards...not sure who was most surprised..him,
his team mates or the crowd. A long range shot into Fratton End goal is always cause for mad
partying..as long as it's Pompey who score.
Impressed with Derby generally and your support was great. 2-2 was fair although you guys were
probably annoyed at dropping 2 points.....was fine with us...another game ticked off list.
Good luck Rams...hope we go up together and.....one more message:
Hello Richard Haines.....Derby fan and dad...also my son. Love ya.

Can't agree with the last sentence. It's got to be in his interest to be part of a successful, promotion-winning side and a potentially significant increased salary offer if Derby want him to re-sign. Wouldn't this mean any competing clubs having to start their opening offers at a higher level?

Both Kid and Ology have been out for a few weeks, I think it's Having and Yuon who are the doubts 😁

I've still got a football annual with the autographs of Mike Trebilcock, John Milkins, Eoin Hand, Ray Hiron, George Smith and Albert McCann in an article about Pompey. I think I must have got them after a game at the BBG in 68/69 season.

Thanks pal. Thought your support was tremendous also, stayed with them even when trailing for a lot of the game.
Agree point was fair & suits both teams. Hopefully see you in Championship next season, that atmosphere was wasted on the 3rd tier.

1Wildsmith 5.5 Made a couple of decent saves, but worries me to death everytime the ball goes near him.
2Wilson 6 Struggled to get forward as much as usual, combination of weather conditions and their hard press.
35Nelson 6.5 Not as assured as normal, the weather didnt help or the pressure they put him under.
6Cashin 7 Probably just shaded Nelson on performance. His long balls down the line helped take pressure off.
17Sibley 6 Defensively he struggled, out of position for their first goal too.
23Ward 8.5 Worked hard and 2 beautiful strikes even if one was deflected in.
16Thompson 6 Worked hard when he came on.
12Smith 7 Looking a good midfield partner for Adams.
4Hourihane 6 Ok
32Adams 8 Covered every blade of grass.
27Blackett-Taylor 7 Made some great runs and seems to be improving each game he plays.
14Washington 6 Not enough time to influence the game
11Méndez-Laing 6 Maybe tried too hard, not sure the armband helps him either.
9Collins 6.5 Chased and harried all the match.
10Waghorn 6 Ok
I agree Nelson and Cashins hardest test this season.

Half-marks allowed; please rate all subs. Closes Thursday @ 18:00. Results by Thursday 22:00. Average is 6.00. Therefore, when a sub steps on the pitch he is on 6 -that's the baseline. Also indicate ATG (at the game) Or Tv.
1Wildsmith - 5.5 - shaky, not himself? - could he have done better, maybe, but conditions certainly didnt help, perhaps below average is a tad harsh, but didnt fill me with confidence
2Wilson - 6.5 - solid but stopped from getting forward
35Nelson - 6 - thought this was one of his harder games in a rams shirt, didnt look as calm as he normally does, drawn in for their first goal (which was superb by the way), conditions obviously didnt help
6Cashin - 7.5 - relished the conditions and more than made up for Nelson, breaking up play and playing with a sense of calmness
17Sibley - 7.5 - seen he's getting a lot of stick on Twitter/X from the usual suspects, but he is doing his job at LB, keeping their winger quiet, just a shame their first came from his side
23Ward - 8 - doing a fantastic job as somewhat of an inverted wide midfielder, 2 great goals (perhaps lucky with the 2nd), but work rate is fantastic
16Thompson - 7.5 - ratty, exactly what we needed for the final 20 of the game, doing a job as a second striker with collins and then dropping back into midfield, engine
12Smith - 7 - steady and solid
4Hourihane - 6 - not much to say
32Adams - 7.5 - him and Smith work great together, hope we can keep him, too good for League One
27Blackett-Taylor - 8 - superb, showing us what he can do just as NML is hitting a tough patch of form
14Washington - 6 - not much to say
11Méndez-Laing - 6.5 - finding it hard playing through the middle almost in a free role, dip in form but plugging away
9Collins - 8 - we have missed him, hold up play and playing in isolation fantastic, work rate for someone coming off the back of an injury like that is commendable
10Waghorn - 6 - not much to say
