FKANorwichExile got a reaction from Abu Derby in Referees
Disallowing Cash's goal utterly deflated the team today. That's not the refs fault, it's down to managing the morale of the squad, but you have to wonder if we're ever going to get a decision in our favour.
The push on Knight would have been a touch soft, but it's the type of pen that's been given against us time and time again this season. How many of us instantly waited for the whistle when Chaplin went down like he's been shot? Where was the booking?
I don't think there's a conspiracy from the EFL down, we're more than capable of sabotaging our own season, but the level of officiating is beyond abysmal.

From 20 minutes in to half time, we suffocated them and created a couple of good chances. But that's it, one deflected cross and Didzy missing a sitter. The rest of the game there was a gap a mile wide between the midfield and the strikers and we were pumping the ball over the top for two men who would take a week to finish the 100m.
How many times do we have to concede on the counter before Warne acknowledges that end-to-end football doesn't work with a squad as slow as ours? I actually facepalm when I hear him say he doesn't mind being caught on the break.

And we must've conceded more goals from our corners than we've actually scored. Talk about not learning lessons .

Time for Warne and the squad to prove we can do it against the better teams. We need a statement result, and a win at home against one of the best in the league in front of a big crowd could be the turning point that fires us into the playoffs on a wave of confidence.

He was brilliant in the first game I brought my 2 lads over for. 4-0 v Wimbledon. The boys were ecstatic as Kinky had previously played for our local club, Ajax, and now, aged 28 and 30, are still Rams.

Ogbene, Liam Kelly and Vyner sound viable options who would be immediate improvements over what we have.
It makes me want to vomit, but Mason Bennett is a perfect Warne-style player too

Ryan Manning. Left back with four goals and six assists? Yes please. Can't keep playing Sibley there next season.

But the reason we were slaughtered is because Billy sabotaged our season before it even started. He is famously quoted as saying at Wembley "It should have been Preston's ribbons being tied on the trophy". He then went on holiday for who knows how many weeks, so when he finally set about bringing in Premiership quality players, they'd all been signed up, and we had to make do with what was left (ie the ones nobody else wanted). In addition he tried to take on the Premiership teams with his hoof-ball tactics, which only worked the once when Wimbledon surprised everybody with those tactics), and most certainly don't work when all you've got are Championship quality players. And in the middle of all that he started engineering his dismissal with regular statements to the media about needing the club to back him, when there was actually very little more they could do. He was duly sacked, leaving Paul Porno to take over the reigns of the hamstrung horse.

FKANorwichExile got a reaction from Raich Carter in James Collins
He's a target man who can't hold the ball up or win headers. He's decent in the box and a surprisingly good finisher, but we are awful at getting the ball into the box. He doesn't press well, and when he does he ends up woefully out of position. I can't imagine him being here next season.

FKANorwichExile got a reaction from Steve How Hard? in James Collins
He's scored a lot of goals in his career, but... how? I hoped we were getting someone like Clarke Harris at Posh- a top league one striker who couldn't quite cut it at Championship. Watching him, you have to wonder how he scored all those goals at Luton.
-
FKANorwichExile got a reaction from DiggerB in Cashin
Good Championship level player if he keeps developing, but hindered by lack of height and pace. Like others have said, he tries too hard to win balls that he shouldn't be going in for, but that'll come with time and actually playing with a proper CB regularly (I love Foz, but Cashins downturn has aligned with Foz being caught out more and more).
Worth building the backline around for the next few years at least.
