2/3 relegation places sorted due to off field rubbish. The beautiful game.

WhiteHorseRam reacted to Tamworthram in Mel put us in Administration because......
Ah I see what you mean and we’re talking cross purposes. My faint hope for a resolution as soon as possible was a buyer not the conclusion of administration.
I’m not sure how much scope the club/Mel have tap-dancing around now a request has been made to appoint an administrator.
If we were hoping to delay the appointment of an administrator, surely that ship has sailed now and our best hope to avoid a fire sale and the vultures descending is to find a new buyer ASAP rather than drag it out.

WhiteHorseRam got a reaction from i-Ram in Mel put us in Administration because......
You stated the obvious. I don't think my gif was unreasonable.
But, if you want more on dragging out ...
The more it 'drags out', the more tap-dancing Mel/the Club/any future buyer can do which could save us from the unthinkable. It's all about manoeuvring now. If Bill Gates called Mel right now with his cheque book out, some pause would be needed.
The fill the ground for the Reading game is us manoeuvring - we are hoping we can do our small part to make the club tasty to a rich potential buyer ('grand old club', fanatical fans etc etc) and make the EFL feel awkward with a massive attendance.
There are a few on here who seem to think the sudden-end-good-clean-death option of administration will be best ...... Going to some halcyon tour of characterful League 1 grounds, chuffing on gravy and chips and intimidating the home fans, before victoriously returning to the Championship and our eventual rise to Prem glory.
I can't see that.
I just see sudden death.
Once the vultures descend I think we will be shredded.

WhiteHorseRam got a reaction from Premier ram in 100 days to Save Our Soul
Our soul is not in question.
If the whole thing goes down the pan and we have to start from scratch I will go and watch them play on a school playing field.

Dogs and kids allowed in the pubs at the top and the pub at the bottom.
Sometimes the wife doesn't allow me in any of them!

WhiteHorseRam reacted to Zag zig in Kids in pubs
Kids in pubs used to be a great idea, specially Saturday nights or Sunday dinners.
From what I remember of it, kid sits quietly in corner, watching the crib match, reading the “Green un”, Grandad, Dad or opponents pint empties, said kid is nudged to go up to bar and bring fresh pint every time ones goes empty; being very careful not to spill any or else face being ridiculed by a troop of old geezers, happy to inflict embarrassment at every opportunity.
Cheeky half shandy and/or packets of crisps were a constant reward for doing a good job, try and forget the passive smoking. Rising Sun, Woodville proper pub at the time, nothing wrong with being grounded by salt of the earth types, that had years of stories and mickey taking to impart on an innocent kid.

In the early 2000s there was a stripper night in my local in Gainsborough. One rather rough young man from work was in attendance and was telling everybody at work how good it was.
When I asked how old the performer was he said "in her forties"
Apologies for the agism but it did little to make me wish I'd been there. Young woman's game, IMO.
Stay classy, Gainsborough.
