I was at the game and loved every minute from hitting the Neptune at 0930 and leaving the Brunny about 2030 en route to my hotel where I had another couple before hitting the hay, having been up since 0300.
I've just watched the full 90 plus all the shenanigans on the pitch afterwards. Congratulations, Owen. You didn't melt. You stayed very professional and did a sterling job. Your voice was so chock full of emotion, you could have been forgiven for having a meltdown but you soldiered on. Like a true Ram, fighting till the end. Thank you for your coverage, not just from last Saturday but also from the other 38 games where this expat watched and listened to #RamsTV just outside of Amsterdam. Already looking forward to next season's offerings and hoping I can, again, get over for around 8 of the games.
Ewe Rams!

I think Barkhuizen should stay, was looking really good in the 10 role & his pressing was a key part on a frw goals at the time, shame he got an injury.
Some players will suit the Champ more than LG1, I think Barkhuizen is one of them.

Photographer here, captured some photos on my film camera of your promotion day on Saturday. Absolutely loved it, unbelievable atmosphere. It's only letting me upload two in my post on here. But the rest are on my instagram page here: https://www.instagram.com/p/C6WiJSZIpRq/?img_index=1
Hope you don't mind me sharing!

Matlock probably the first one, then I imagine we will go abroad again. Maybe even to the same place as it clearly worked last year. Chesterfield again would be fine too with them getting promoted. Maybe Wolves or Villa if we are going premier league at home.

We did it!
The first of our two promotion podcasts is out now - an 'At The Match' special recorded before, during and after the 2-0 win over Carlisle.
So it all came down to this. Join Chris, Tom, Anton and Cutch for a podcast recorded in real time at Pride Park during Derby's final day promotion-sealing win over Carlisle.
Recorded before, during and after the historic 2-0 home win, this audio match report is our take on Derby County's promotion from League One as it happened.

Nishfan reacted to LeedsCityRam in David Clowes
David Clowes is the owner I always hoped we'd end up getting one day.
A lot of fans seem utterly fixated on the respective spending power of owners but unless you have materially more wealth than all of your competitors (extremely rare), the differentiator becomes how you manage your club. What culture are you looking for? Do you back your managers when things get tough? Do you have a long term plan? Quite apart from the extraordinary sacrifice David Clowes undertook in grossly overpaying for Derby County, everything since has been an exercise in how to run a club properly. He is an elite level owner & best of all, he cares - he's one of us.
Its no secret I'm a Warne-sceptic but I had to admire Clowes sticking by Warne during his decidedly dodgy autumn. Sitting outside the playoff spots as late as 24th November would have had many chairmen pulling the trigger but there was absolutely no sense Warne was even on his final warning - he was given time & Clowes was utterly vindicated by the subsequent promotion. That is the kind of responsible stewardship successful clubs need & that we have so often lacked in the past.
Tales of his humility elsewhere in this thread endear him even more, as does that open letter on the official site today. A successful businessman, a qualified pilot & now a successful football club owner - that is a bloody rare skillset & all credit to him that he lets his actions do the talking rather than resorting to the egocentric approach of many of his peers. I'm genuinely excited to see how he approaches the challenge of competing with clubs with bigger budgets & more reckless strategies - I strongly suspect this is where the backroom structure he brought in 2 years ago starts to bear fruit - quality recruitment, quality youth progression & a tight, respectful culture that gets the best out of everyone in the building. Progressive ownership is the only sensible game in that snakepit of a division & Clowes is smart enough to realise this.
Most of all, I hope he's enjoying it. I loved seeing him get the limelight on Saturday - the fans singing his name & him picking up the trophy - he deserves every accolade going. I hope David Clowes stays with us for many years, I'm certain he will steer us back to the Prem if he does.

Nishfan reacted to DerbyPride12 in South Stand...surely its time for proper stand names!
Didn't Clowes used to sit in the corner of North Stand?
If so - Clowes Corner has a ring to it.

Igor Stand - North stand
Clowes End- south stand
Clough and Taylors- east
The Mac stand( after Dave Mackay) with Bald Eagle suite or the friends and family area named the bald eagle viewing area
Love the railway end mooted earlier in the thread.

Not sure why they’ve never named them. I think as Pride Park itself doesn’t really have any character still, even after all this time, then if this were to happen it would have to be based on people not geography.
So how about:
* West - Clough Stand (with Taylor suite somewhere)
* East - Pickering Stand
* North - Clowes Stand (probably too modest!)
* South - Hector Stand (or Bloomer, McFarland, or other legend)

Can’t we name a couple after former Managers/Players instead?

Nishfan reacted to Maverick in South Stand...surely its time for proper stand names!
As Derby are re born...surely it's time we named the South Stand and the rest of them for that matter. Not a fan of a sponsored stand as they come and go...apart from the Toyota West stand. We could go back to an old stand name from the BBG, a Legend or something completely new and fresh?
I'll start the ball rolling.....
South Stand - 1884
North Stand - Railway End
East Stand - Popside
West Stand - Toyota (Steve Bloomer Upper & Lower) Stand

Surely Barnsley should give Wanderers more than 2000 tickets , they struggle to get 13500 to Oakwell

This topic represents all that is best in the beautiful game.
I always hope that the team finishing 3rd gets through the play offs and more than ever this season.
Thank you Wanderer. Hope to see you in the Championship with us next season!
