I mean I don't think what he's done is anything terrible but why is it always us? Why always Rooney?
He's not a footballer anymore. He's manager of Derby County and with that should come standards, professionalism and conducting yourself in the right way - especially hours after talking about dignity.
I don't think getting his face farted on (genuine or not) is a great image for the club with everything thats going on right now. Makes an even bigger mockery of the ongoing clown show.

Has anyone actually tried turning the club off leaving if for 10 seconds and then turn it back on again?

Cani imagine the euphoria when a bit of actual good or positive news comes out ???!
tbh atm I’d take a single day where I wake up and there isn’t another whirlwind of cr@p for us to get our heads around

Obviously there is no claim he has done anything wrong but with everything else going on this was really not needed. Bringing dignity back to the club lasted long

    A difficult... and emotive... subject.
Whilst I'd agree we play a massive part in the club's survival, we need the club as much as the club needs us.  Neither can survive without the other.
Without Derby County Football Club, Derby fans are just... well... fans!
... But the same can be said for Sainsburys!  We don't demand the ins and outs of boardroom meetings, as we are no more than mere customers.  Paying guests maybe, but that lies under the same umbrella.
Stakeholders even, technically speaking... but that still doesn't elevate us to needing to be ITK at boardroom level.

I suppose I am still of the opinion that the silence from the club is because they are close to a sale. I might be wrong but I even if I am, I don't actually get what a protest would acheive at this stage.

    I agree.
I think there's not much to to be said by a protest that Mel doesn't already know. It's not like he's not trying to sell the club. The current pandemic ridden climate isn't helping us either.
So why not show support for the club, I will buy my RamsTV subs for the Betis game and hope to hear the Rams fans cheering. Much better to try and encourage what we have than protest and make it worse. For all lots don't want to see it we had a decent looking attack against Salford and it's only preseason. #COYR

Unbelievable that anyone could point the finger at the manager right at this moment..its an impossible job for anybody..he hasn't got a team to put on the pitch ffs..the ownership is 100% to blame total embarrassing shambles..destroying this club..the only light is the possibility of proper professional owners stepping in..but when??..I give Rooney credit for trying to fight through this situation..but to say he has the cards stacked against him is a massive understatement..

Looking forward to this, I'll be driving up and have been looking on Google maps for somewhere to park and could not find anywhere.
I emailed the club and they replied within 5 minutes to say "I would recommend the Singleton Road area, to the east of the ground, particularly if you can arrive early."
Although I might be doing myself out of a parking space, thought I'd try and be helpful!

I would agree with that and when the referee let a bad foul on one of our players go on Saturday I thought just that. However, first time one happened on a United player Buchanan was booked. Both were bookable offences, imo, but only the Derby player was yellow-carded.
Having said that, I thought that both teams played in the right spirit and there was very little 'flinging' going on!

I agree. However, I felt today's small risk was acceptable for me personally. Full stadiums - I am not so sure.
I'm not so sure an enclosed football stadium is as outdoors as some think it is!

Enjoyed being back at Pride park today with my son and grandson. Thought the club handled the restrictions quite well and we got to walk over the bridge from Chad for the first time.

It was great to get back down to Pride Park and see our first team in action. Not the best day for it temperature-wise and sometimes players are going through the motions a bit in friendlies but I thought most of them today put in a good shift.
Players that caught my eye first half were Morrison (great use of the ball - if anyone can get him playing like that every week, sign him up!), Aluko, Byrne, Lawrence (despite his header!)  Jagielka and Davies both classy at the back and Roos' handling of the ball and quick distribution kept us moving forward. The intent was definitely there to get forward much quicker, with some smart interchanges to transition play down both flanks.
Bird had a mixed game, did some good stuff going forward but made the mistakes for the goals. However, he tries things, Shinnie doesn't and was more of a sideways passer than Bird today. Buchanan puts in a shift going forward, I thought he did okay too given the opposition.
No-one seems to have mentioned that we let our second goal in just before the 60 minute changes. At this point we were playing against a completely fresh Man Utd midfield and attack whereas our lads were wilting. It was 36 degrees pitch-side and a rushed pass from Aluko I think that put Bird under pressure.
Unlike others, I thought Fozzy played well when he came on, looked much sharper than the end of last season and I thought him and CKR took good responsibility for the younger group of players. Fozzy definitely organising the defence. Ebosele played well too, you can't ignore him, Hutchinson took a while to get into it but looked classy on the ball and could have had a goal. Bardell and Thompson showed some nice touches and weren't overawed - have either of them played for the first team before?
Sibley and Macdonald a bit disappointing, especially Sibley who wasn't offering the defensive cover that Aluko offered first half. I want to see him get his mojo back quickly because this isn't the player I know he can be.
Not sure whether Man Utd's first goal was a handball? I thought it was but not given, did Rams TV show anything?
Overall an enjoyable afternoon and a decent atmosphere for a friendly with a bit of banter between the two sets of 'singing' supporters.
However the highlight of the afternoon, and worth the admission money alone, was to see CKR score an actual goal in front of the Derby fans. Use him well and he's going to be even more of a hero this season than last. ?

Well what I have seen Derby played some lovely football in first half cut through there midfield like butter and trailist one from reading played well Morrison I would offer contract too. And in the 2nd changes were made but Derby kepted try and got there reward when Richard's score a really really good goals.
I dont think we desevse to lose 2-1 I the 2nd half I think if Derby can improve I dont think we got anything to worry about or to fear this season.
