Mac1 turned a slightly above average Championship side into one playing fantastic football over night.
Rosenior created a very good League 1 side from scratch over a few weeks.
Warne has taken a very good League 1 side and turned it into an average one after 12 months and 55 games in charge, and can barely pass the ball anymore.

The root problem here is that many people think those who work in front of the camera or on the radio are like cartoon characters, and not real human beings. Social media exacerbates this because it invites us to judge people and pile on.
I'm not drawing a connection between some not liking Ed's work and his current mental health, I'm just saying "lets all be a bit more kind and think before we speak about others".

I think this just proves that some people like some broadcasters, while other people think they’re crap.

Personally, I’ve got no issue with criticism and no problem with someone who doesn’t particularly rate me. I don’t really mind them telling me that either. But that’s just me. 

The point being that if anyone is absent from work the most likely explanation is some health or other personal issue. You suggest it would have been better to explain the issue to stop people saying stupid stuff. But personal issues are just that, no one’s business but theirs. If someone is taking time out they just want a break from everything and not worrying about having to explain things to every douchebag on twitter. 

Another to agree with this. Certainly as far as local radio commentary goes, RD is bloody good. The standard of commentary/ journalism we've had is great.

No. Rotherhamitis.

The moaning isn’t just about this season. There is a consistency about how he has got us playing which was the same last season, and it was clear then as it is now that 3 at the back doesn’t work.
Performances and results only picked when he was forced by injuries to go 4 at the back, but he reverted back at the first opportunity, with results to match. Despite saying that he wants to play in the style we did last Tuesday, at the first opportunity to build on Tuesday’s delights, we revert to ##}%*^^g awful again. In addition when we’ve used 4 at the back to our advantage he still flips us to 3 or 5 at the back again, ending the match with a dose of squeaky bum time. Thankfully Carlisle weren’t up to punishing us for it.
Despite the fully justified outcry after last Saturday, most people, I would think, can cope with results at whatever cost, but would like to see at least some attempts to play the beautiful game, instead of empty rhetoric. Instead all that is dished up is the  same bodge and bash it efforts.
Roll on Saturday with its potential for some football to break out.

Enjoyment and entertainment are key factors for me too, a win is great but there is more to it than that for me.

Whilst they didn't create tonnes, other than hitting post and bar and force a few good saves and a couple of near misses, they dominated the game for over 60 mins.
We are unable to take control of games and maybe don't even wish to, which makes for unsettling and often tedious viewing.
If I'm spending around £80 on a day out I have expectations beyond the result.
 

You can't say one of their best chances was down to a howler from our keeper when our penalty was a howler by their keeper.

It wasn’t the most entertaining of games, we seemed to struggle after we went a goal up and if they had a bit more quality they very well could have made it more of a contest. Over the 90 they were the better side but a win is a win.

We managed an away win whilst not playing great which I suppose is a skill in itself. I don’t think it’s the players that are making us look bad right now, more the instructions they’re being given, which isn’t getting the best out of them. This squad is capable of more and that’s what I’m finding frustrating.

Whilst we bash away, mostly anonymously behind the keyboard, just go take a second to see what Josh Vickers is going through right now, Ed, just like us all is a real person. 
Regardless of how you feel about him as a person or his commentary style there is absolutely no need for personal stuff towards a fellow Derby fan.
Seriously, come on, have a word with yourselves.
 

I like Steele as he often will call out players for not doing what they are supposed to do. And he very much sounds like he knows what he talking about due to long experience working on the coaching staff at clubs.
This means, he doesn't just continually blame the manager all the time, but puts responsibilty on the players.
Maybe other pundits, or posters, could take note.

I see we got another soft penalty this week. The referees in this division are getting so poor now that they can’t even distinguish which team is Derby and which team they should be helping.

That was never a penalty. It was as bad as the penos that are awarded against us.
