The club aren’t tied into a lengthy contract and can move him down to assistant again if needed (and if he agrees) while he could go for different jobs in the future and argue he was only interim and not fully in charge.

From what I know of Sheffield Wednesday fans it is very rare that they rate any of their own players. For that matter I don’t think they rate anyone else’s either. I think it’s something to do with being from Yorkshire.
