Does an umpire call dead ball after every delivery?
I think it’s not “cheating” (and Bairstow was obviously very stupid) but he’s not gaining an advantage in any way is he, as opposed to nicking a bit of ground at the non strikers end, which a bowler running out is universally condemned.

Surely related though? If you aren’t fit enough then your standards will inevitably drop. I remember the Burton game where he came on at about 85 minutes, ran through 1 on 1 and put it wide and was absolutely goosed. 
Just think it was a long season where some players played more than they should mostly out of necessity. NML was knackered as well but probably had a bit more potential magic so played more towards the season end. I think and hope Barkhuizen will still contribute next season.

Think I read he is asthmatic and got hit by Covid pretty badly, possibly suffering some sort of long Covid.
Not saying it was or it wasn’t but I imagine a Rosenior pre season may have been more forgiving than a Warne one which meant he just didn’t have the fitness needed for Warne’s style when it came to it (especially as a wing back).
Would like to see him in the front 3. He was a 1 in 6 player in the Championship. Should be more than good enough for us.

That’s fine and obviously they are going to evolve etc. Their new stuff isn’t to my taste but obviously is to some people’s as it’s still very successful but can’t help but think a festival environment, even more so at Glasto as a lot of people aren’t going to be their hardcore, they should lean into their old stuff more. Get the feeling Alex Turner resents singing it because their older stuff was more mainstream popular (and he has disappeared up his own arse over the last 10 years or so), which is why he randomly kept changing the pace of the old stuff yesterday. Sometimes it’s fine not to try and be too clever

Used to live on Ilkeston Road at uni a few years ago. Brings it home a little bit when I’ve probably walked the same route as those students at the same time about 50 times over.
Was always an area you knew you might have to keep your wits about you but could never imagine something like this happening there. Heartbreaking

If I had to guess, it’s probably because he lives near Aston Villa’s training ground and doesn’t live particularly near Derby’s and it makes zero sense for him to arse around our training ground for 6 hours before children’s coaching starts.
Of course if it comes out Aston Villa’s under 9’s beat Derby’s under 9’s 14-0 and he’s been passing on insider information I’ll be giving him a massive booooooo as soon as he gives the ball away next season.
Then again the people who sit around me do that anyway so I might not even wait.

Instead of going and coaching some children at a team local to where he lives, I would prefer him to move to Duffield and go and get pissed up in the Joiners every evening.
That way we can keep an eye on him and make sure he isn’t passing trade secrets on or perhaps even asking Unai Emery whether he could still get a gig playing for a top half Prem club.
