That's how the FA do things though. How any manager can get such a talented squad of players (and some not picked) to play in such a 'restrained' way is testament to Southgate's skill as a manager.

I think it'd probably be more sensible to see how we do in the next world cup rather than giving him a contract till 2024. Southgate comes across as a lovely man but an unconvincing manager. Giving him a contract till the end of the next euros comes across as premature given that we don't know how Tuesday is going to pan out. 

On the point that @David made about letting the shackles off it's a fair one but realistically if we're smart we'll do what Hungary did and not Portugal against the Germans. Set up solid with 4 at the back and hit them on the counter, if we do that the Germans are extremely vulnerable in the transition and we could potentially put 3 or 4 past them. If we get past the Germans then depending on the run in we should let the shackles off until the final (unless we face Holland in the semis) and play some more entertaining football. 

I think they said we'd be doing another charity kit this year. Could be for prostate cancer instead of breast cancer this time.
Doesn't necessarily mean we won't have the same template. That is one ugly kit though, so I've got my fingers crossed that ours is nothing like that.

Maybe one day, but I'd rather have someone who has some experience and coaching badges to lead us if we do find ourselves in League one. I know we've been a testing ground for the inexperienced in recent years, but I would rather that not continue indefinitely.

Doesn't bother me. Only concern is administration, but being in a lower league doesn't bother me as a fan at all. We're never going to get promoted from the championship, so may as well go down to a league where we can be competitive.

Its not all bad. You get basically the same prize money for winning the Papa John trophy as you do for the carabao cuo, but we'd actually stand a chance of winning the first one. Would be fun to see us lift a trophy if nothing else!

Yes. This is what I mean. I’m sure that have a reasonable set prepared so they know what the position is likely to be. But the final stage of getting them fully prepared, written up etc to audit compliant standards would still need to be done.

One of my absolute favorite things is fans who KNOW how much players and managers are earning...!! every one of those examples you have "researched" comes from some hack of a reporter guessing, estimating, fabricating to make it fit in with whatever ******** agenda they have.
