Got to agree in my experience also.
Americans I have encountered with work are fantastic communicators, have bags of confidence and positivity but when it comes to the real deal it can be disappointing
They certainly talk the talk but do they walk the walk ?- I certainly hope so in this case, in fact i'm desperate for it
Probably an unpopular observation but my mate is an avid Wycombe fan & has contacts close to the top of the club. The American owner and his son ( I know they are unpopular on here) have apparently transformed the club in a good way from top to bottom - I'm talking about off the pitch here - and this despite having no historic connection with Wycombe
Big improvements for the fan experience & really connecting with the fan base, and plenty of progressive ideas. Believe it or not, they apparently don't rate the EFL Committee either !!
So if you get the right American etc etc

American companies love setting values like that. I'm yet to work with one in my twelve year career that actually sticks to them, and I've worked with loads.
    Business waffle, nothing more.

Don't think that would happen with the Prem season running for 2 weeks after ours finishes so Everton unlikely to be relegated by that point.
But, irrespective of whether he leaves or not, both he, the coaching staff and players need a big send off in that game, they've made us proud to support this club again.

‘preferred buyer’ is the term-of-art of Q’s  chosing, not a very wise one. The winning bidder (that’s a better term) can be named on whatever terms are agreed between seller and buyer.
Q were clearly alert to the dangers of a flabby appointment - that’s partly why the deposit was going to be non-refundable. The danger is you tw-t around with a ‘Pb’ for weeks to no avail then find everyone else has moved on to the next deal

it’s unbelievable, stunning incompetence. q has no control at all over the M&A process

If it's Kirchner I'll be annoyed. Not because it's Kirchner, but because he had a bid on the table months ago and had that got sorted at the time we could have avoided a lot of pain in the interim. We could have protected our younger players from the vultures circling and we could have potentially picked up a few free agents to help keep us in the division. Just a whole load of wasted time.

Curtains, Pride Park can hold around 30k fans? You've read a few posts on an Internet forum by a few fans. Do you not think you maybe overreacting just a tad?
I would say that whilst some may have and voice their serious doubts over any of the potential owners that have been linked, I'm sure 100% of fans will be happy to still have a club going into next season, even if their preferred choice doesn't purchase the club.
Owners, CEO, directors, directors of football, managers, assistant managers, coaches, scouts, players, international break holiday destinations, kits, sponsors, stadium names, you name it.... you will never see unanimous unquestionable support for anything at a football club.
You're a lot older than me, no disrespect, but you must know this.

Realistically we cannot moan. Anyone who takes on this basket case of a club at the moment needs our backing.
It has put pressure on the other bidders with all this Kirchner stuff coming out. Naming him as the PB doesn't mean that he will be the one to take us over, it could prove to be a swift move if it gets the other interested parties to actually make a bid that isn't derisory.

We're not exactly in a position to be picky right now when the alternative is liquidation.

The Problem with this post is that you're conveniently forgetting the £20-£30m a year of outgoing costs.
So £10 Million income (Once you remove the VAT) from Ticket Sales and £10m from TV revenue (Albeit that drops significantly in League One).
You have an academy cost of £7.5m To sustain.
You have a players wage bill of £10m to sustain.
You have 100 other employees with a bill of £2m to sustain.
You have business rates, Insurances, massive amount of costs (You saw the £5m creditor list)

Give you a simple idea, if you had a lot of money, you would buy a company for circa 6-12 times its EBIT. In English, if a business was making profit of £1 Million per year, you would buy them for £6-£12 Million. Of course - lots of other factors go into deciding that value - namely assets (Property, cash and in a football club, the players).
Now the two bidders for Derby are offering £30m for a business which is A) Loss making and B) About to take a big hit to revenue if we are relegated. They are getting 5 players under contract and that is it. Any new buyer is almost certainly going to need to subsidise the club to the tune of £5m per year for the first few seasons. It's completely understandable they want the stadium included.
Any normal businessman wouldn't buy this club - there is literally nothing that is commercially appealing. The only thing for me I can see is that the infrastructure in place, the ground, the goodwill (Fans future income) would enable the club to reach the PL and stay there, thus generate an income stream of hundreds of Millions however, this is the same dream our last owner tried to do and failed.

I have been convinced for months now that he will leave in the summer regardless of what happens with survival and the takeover. Whatever the outcome he has stuck by us through the worst period for the club in a generation, if he decided he's had enough in the summer I wouldn't blame him at all. Plenty of other managers would have walked months ago.
