Ed is a noisy fan masquerading as a journalist. I respect his love and knowledge of Derby, sometimes he makes the odd valid and pithy observation. But his one eyed, individual, grumpy “told you so / I’ll get you, him or them” aura gets up my nose and lacks nuance. It’s like listening to a teenager, no matter how bright they are.

If the CK deal collapses I am 100% convinced Rooney will simply walk away, closely followed by a load of the players.

Ed Dawes just basically apologised on Radio Derby and said he'd got it wrong, Morris hasn't gone to ground and has been actively talking to interested parties in the last 24 hours. ?

It will delay us yet again, won’t be able to offer contracts to the Crown Jewels who no doubt will leave. He might well finally think enough is enough and I wouldn’t blame him….

Mel isnt going to do the right thing by DCFC. He's going to do the right thing by his bank balance. He is quite clearly stalling so the exclusivity period expires and he can try and line up a rival bid that's better for him personally.
He created this mess and seems more than happy for it to remain a mess until he gets what he wants. Disgusting.

Whatever he ends up being in the long term, he appears to be the man to save us from oblivion in the short term which is priority one and overrides anything else at this point.
My take on him is that he is a habitual entrepreneur. He is taking us over for the challenge, and the possibility that he will make some money either by selling the club for more than he invests in it or by getting us to the PL and doing it that way. His decisions in the weeks, months and years to come will likely be made on that basis.

I reckon CK’s got Wi-Fi on his fancy plane and is checking the forum, and then telling the pilot to fly around at random to mess with us.

I wonder if it's possible that contract extensions could be discussed during this visit?

Whoever it may be is a sad act with nothing else to do other than sit in his Mum's spare room and vent in to the void in the hope that they can find some form of relevance in an otherwise pitiful existence.

I would imagine there are all sorts of “externalities” in the figure that we would not even consider. Rates for the ground and the rates for businesses local to the ground who benefit from the footfall, to think of just two

Not paying HMRC was always going to stop any potential sale - too much debt. Morris destroyed any chance at all of us being sold when sold himself the ground and ran at substantial unsustainable losses.
