An oft-quoted 'fact' that when I looked into it a few months ago could find no evidence of.
Closest I could find was the FDA saying it would take 55 years to fully process an FOI request based on the number of staff and the level confidentiality required, which was a bit questionable but.... ehhhh. That seems to have jumped to 75 years now, although maybe we're talking about something else entirely.
Whether I checked the 'wrong' places I don't know, but I suspect it didn't cause a ripple because it was baalocks, not that such a status ever stopped anything else from gaining traction, on both sides.
I did very very briefly look into links between Pfizer & FDA and can see how one may influence the other, and can see why suspicions and conspiracies may arise there. Whether they bear out under close inspection I can't say. I'm not anally obsessive enough to check further, especially now.
Either way, it's ducking hilarious to see that even though this thread and the discussion is pretty much dead, some people are still using it to push an agenda, desperate to be proven right,  even when nobody can be arsed to argue with them!

Surely you can? There are 2 reasons
    1) Because Pfizer want to cover it up
    2) Because the document has been tampered with by those behind the leak in order to throw suspicion on 1
The beauty of actually questioning everything is that you have to actually question everything.
In 3 months worldwide something like 9 million people die - the vast majority of which will be the elderly and the clinically vulnerable (ie in the target groups for the first 3 months of vaccinations) - so to be honest the number seems very low to me
Again - not dismissing the figures - just that there are far too many unknowns in this document for anyone to draw any conclusions from
He spent 20 minutes in that video repeatedly saying the word "safe" in a sarcastic voice, thereby implying that these figures show the vaccines aren't safe. That's despite there being far too much missing information for anyone to draw that conclusion
Sorry if I find that schtick a bit suspect. I would happily value his opinion if he was honest about the facts that the documents lacked enough detail to draw any useful conclusion. But he didn't so I don't
To be honest - given that I know you like to question everything too, not sure why you didn't pick up on that

I tried Ozark. Made it through the first 7 episodes, and just gave up. Quite enjoyed episode one, but after that, just didn't care about any of the characters. Everytime I was watching it, I was wishing I was watching something else. So I did!

Apparently, in England the stats show Covid is 40x less lethal than in January 2021 and also now less lethal than flu across every age group:
There remains a very slightly raised mortality risk because omicron has been so infectious, meaning more people have it than regular flu.

The difficulty is finding an exit strategy from this nightmare.
Unfortunately, it seems unlikely, although not impossible, that Putin will be toppled from within Russia, however harsh the sanctions may be.  It's also completely implausible, that Putin will admit that he was wrong all along or that he misjudged Ukraine's response and call the whole invasion off.
No, it seems to me for this war to end, there must be an exit strategy that Putin is able to sell, via his state propaganda, as a heroic and necessary Russian victory, however twisted and delusional that may sound.  So the question is what concessions are Ukraine willing to make that will allow Putin to successfully spin this into a victory for himself and his army?
An agreement that Ukraine does not join NATO and remain militarily neutral between the West and Russia?  I think Zelensky and the Ukrainians would sign up to that tomorrow.  And NATO would be delighted to remain uncommitted to defending Ukraine's borders in the future.  To be honest, this should probably have been the strategy all along.
An agreement that Ukraine acknowledges that Crimea is part of Russia?  This would be a bitter pill for the Ukrainians to swallow, but the reality is that the whole world is carrying on like Crimea is part of Russia already.  It was a Russian province, stupidly given as a gift to Ukraine by Khruschev in the 1950s. It's a region full of people who not only speak Russian, but identify as Russian as well as some Ukrainians and Tartars.  So could Crimea become part of a settlement?
What about the Donbas region?  It seems unlikely that Ukraine would be willing to hand that over to Russia...or that many of the people living there would be happy with that arrangement.  But how about if that area was given a large degree of autonomy, with people there allowed to get whatever passport they choose and determine their own nationality (like N.Ireland). I don't know if Ukraine would agree or whether Russia will stop at anything short of completely annexing eastern parts of Ukraine...but maybe it's preferable to continuing the war for both sides.
Putin clearly wanted far more than just these concessions when the war started...but he likely was very unpleasantly surprised by the Ukrainian resistance and the international condemnation. In order to minimize the hardship for Russia (or more likely in order to protect his own position as president/dictator) he might wish to end the war early if they was an agreeable solution. He could say the protected the Russian regions in Eastern Ukraine, gained Ukrainian and international acknowledgement for Crimea and demilitarized Ukraine by preventing it from joining NATO. Is there any chance that agreements such as these would allow him enough cover to claim a victory in the Russian media and call off the war?
    The alternative is becoming unthinkable.

Russia have made themselves look so weak. When was the last time a country's image was so radically transformed? They have an ex-special forces president who likes fighting bears and an army of such numbers it was frightening.
Turns out the president has lost his marbles, those around him are too scared to tell him the truth, their army, full of one-year conscripts, is useless, their armoured vehicles are scrap metal boxes on tracks that fall off. Tactically inept, with an army full of people that do not want to fight, with not enough fuel or food to keep them moving and now their economy is tanking.
They went in thinking the Russian flag would be draped over the front of their tanks. That didn't happen so they started sending in armies to fight in every prominent city. They had problems taking those cities so started bombing airfields, fuel fields, water plants, taking over nuclear power plants to shut off basic amenities. That didn't work so they started bombing civilian buildings as another way of grinding down the Ukrainians. That hasn't worked so they are now bombing anything.
So where do you go from here? Chemical/bological/nuclear. Do we think Putin wouldn't go that low? Of course he would.
Scary times ahead, I think. We will find out in the next 2 weeks when they actually get to Kyiv which direction this is going to take.
On a different note, I think Western governments will use this current situation to push through Green industries/technologies faster. Thankfully we are ahead of the curve on that. Seems like we are in for quite the inflation rise over the next few years. Which isn't good for an economy built on high borrowing on over-valued housing.
Another thing Putin got completely wrong was the level and willingness of most countries to stop trading with them and impose sanctions. They're on the way to the Siberian wilderness with a leader who is ducking mental and a population who don't deserve it.
One question I do have though... Say Putin manged to take Kyiv and Ukraine, puts in place a pro-Russian government etc. How the hell will he afford to rebuild and maintain control of such a vast country? That would be enough to floor their economy without sanctions. But with sanctions......

I was discussing why people from Ukraine may be interested in coming to the UK with my wife earlier and I wonder if, apart from family connections, could it be language? I’m prepared to hazard a guess that there are far more Ukrainians that can speak English than those that can speak French, German or most other European languages.

    This exactly.
We raised over £100m in a few days for Ukraine with the Government matched charity. Lots of other charities have raised millions, probably hundreds.
The majority of British people are compassionate and understanding and want to help.
I’m hoping the news over the weekend makes the process of us offering our services slightly easier.
We have a 2 year and a 7 year. A mum with a child in that 5-7 would be great and BBC we want to help. Security, safety, love, compassion and it would work. Everyone who wants to help will have different scenarios. A spare house may be suitable for a family/older generation and so on.
Its heartless if we don’t help when we can!

I said a few pages back that the company I work for is closing its offices in Russia. It is also evacuating employees from Ukraine
We can volunteer to provide temporary accommodation for them by registering our interest on the intranet.
It's also worth noting that the UK is not a named country on the form - we have to complete it manually as "Other"
The named countries on the form are those that border Ukraine, because despite what certain right-wing factions like to tell us - the vast majority of refugees are happy to stay in the first safe country they reach.

I'd say if you speak English, you might want to go to an English speaking country rather than look to live in a country where you don't speak the native language. I know there's plenty of people who speak Russian in Ukraine and some friendly neighbouring countries have a significant number of people who also speak Russian - but I believe more and more of the younger generation don't learn Russian like the older generation, and may have grown up with English as their second language.
