leroyoftherovers reacted to Foreveram in Shrewsbury tickets
The problem is they go off sale online at 1 pm tomorrow so you will not know how many tickets are left at the end of the category the day after. I will update tomorrow just before they go offline. (Update from Ingoldmells)?

500 left, on sale today for those with 5+ and away membership

The easiest solution would be to get the tickets on sale earlier, maybe this will be resolved by the next away game.

The priority system is fine and completely just. The length of the windows are the issue because tickets are being released so late. Everybody buying tickets should be able to do before the postal deadline IMO.

leroyoftherovers reacted to Sussex Ram in Away Tickets - 2022/23
I’ve emailed the ticket office today, on the matter of timing of away tickets coming on sale. Taking Shrewsbury as an example, fans who cannot get to Pride Park and buy in person are essentially excluded from buying a ticket- unless they are away members with 5+ games last year. For anyone else, there isn’t enough time to post the tickets, as they come on sale either 3 or 1 days before the match (depending on whether you are an away member or not).
This doesn’t just include non-Derby based fans; it includes anyone who can’t get to Pride Park due to mobility issues or lack of transport.
My proposed solution would be to give only 24 hours between each “tranche” of fans (20/15/10/5 games) getting access to tickets, rather than 48 hours. This (rightly, in my opinion) still gives the more travelled fans priority, whilst also giving all fans a fighting chance of getting a ticket on general sale.
I know that a lot of away games will sell out before they get to general sale, due to small allocations and lots of loyal fans, but the principle is important. And there will be matches with larger allocations where this could be a real problem- we could end up with tickets going unsold as they don’t leave enough time to post out tickets to those buying on general sale.
Thoughts welcome.

Sadly, for a lot of games it's probably not going to be be an issue as tickets won't reach that category.

If you're at the home game before you could pick them up then.

My mate has just got me a home ticket for the Shrewsbury away game, just down the road for me. Got me thinking of previous times I have been in the home end at ? away games. The first one was my first game, last game of the 1976 season away at Ipswich. I was 10 and had my Rams gear on and got a lot of stick from some Ipswich youngsters but enjoyed the 6-2 win. We left 3 mins before the end at 4-2 and missed Frannie Lee’s final ever 2 goals he scored in injury time. The second game that springs to mind is being with my uncle at the Dell, 1978 I think. Memorable as my dad had arranged for me to meet the ? players before the game. John Newman was Manager and I met Roy Mac and David Langan and also Charlie George who was playing for them. Roy Mac went off injured at half time and we ended up losing 4-1. I also remember going to Home Park with a mate to see the ? at Argyle in the third division under Arthur. I lived in Cornwall so a local game for me. We were 1-0 up just before half time and Trevor Christie scored what looked like a perfectly good second. The ref disallowed it for offside and then in the second half they scored 4 25 yarders, unbelievable, and we lost 4-1. Then finally there was the league cup quarter final at Upton Park, the Dean Saunders offside goal. I lived a stones throw from the ground while I was at Uni in London and could hear the roar when West Ham scored on a Saturday afternoon. What are your experiences of being in the home end at away games ?

Most of the line-up picks itself, but I just hope either Sibley or McGoldrick starts instead of Smith. We need either of them if are going to create, otherwise we are just expecting miracle from NML.
Rooney started this lack of experience narrative as a reason why we struggled in away games last season. IMO the key was that we didn't create enough scoring opportunitites and it has quite a little to do with the experience. Or should I say, experience is not among the key factors for it. Hopefully, Rosenior realizes this quickly and acknowledge it's way too simplified reasoning and more of an excuse than reason.
Overcautious approach with our starting lineup is crime against football and something I'd expect Rooney to do. As most of the players are good Championship standard, let's hope Rosenior starts to be his own man sooner rather than later.

leroyoftherovers reacted to mozza in mo55y's Prediction League updates, 2022/23 season.
Prediction League point scorers for league games, and occasional league tables will be posted in here ..
PREDICTION LEAGUE RULES
Every league game, I will start a thread on the 'Prediction League' page. I will go through the predictions you post after each game and look for your prediction, and I'll attempt to keep a league table running.
It would help immensely if you could post the result in the following format
example :- Ipswich 0 Derby 2 , Mendez-Laing FRGS
Points will be gained for the following correct predictions:
1 / For correctly nominating the winning team or a draw: +1 point
2 / For correctly nominating the first Rams goalscorer: +2 points
3 / For correctly predicting no Derby goals: +2 points ya miserable b'stards
4 / For correctly nominating the scoreline , ** with the teams the right way around ** , +2 points (so 3, including the point for predicting the winning team)
And no conditionals. No "If Sibley starts, then we'll win, but if he's on the bench we'll draw" stuff - pick a result and go for it.
A total of 5 points can be picked up per game.
I'll be looking at the last prediction you make in the thread. Only predictions made before kickoff will count, and if you go back and modify your prediction after kickoff, I'll not count it.
Just for fun and bragging rights , i'll attempt to make League Tables as i did last season , maybe not updating after every match but periodicly depending on how enthusiastic i become , all your predictions will be safely stored on my trusty fag packet memory stick
**unless blatantly obvious , ie 2-0 Mendez-Laing FRGS , which will be allowed , even if Derby are away ** ..
Please try and avoid using players 'nicknames' as 'FRGS' as i may not recognise them.
NEW PLAYERS ALWAYS WELCOME AND CAN JOIN IN THE FUN AT ANY TIME DURING THE SEASON

Pretty sure LR mentioned playing those that didn't get a start on Saturday would get more game time, personally I'd like to see more of the Sibley / Stretton combination, for me they do have a good understanding of each other that stems from the youth football they played, and if we don't add to the squad they may well be needed.

I hope we don't do that, as I'd like to see us mix it up a bit, so we can see how some of the youngsters play alongside the more experienced new signings. Otherwise, what do we learn?
For example, Cashin at the side of Chester, Stretton and Sibley playing off McGoldrick.
But you may well be right. Missed opportunity, if so.
