maxjam got a reaction from Miggins in Holiday Plans 2022
Off to Hunstanton again shortly - much prefer there than going abroad these days ?
Cracking location on the east coast imho, only a couple of hours or so drive to get there. Not to commercial (but just enough to keep the kids entertained for a week or two) and nice quieter places to eat in Old Hunstanton. Some nice beaches and walks and key for us, its super dog friendly.
TBH I'd much rather go on holiday in the UK with my dogs these days than leave them with my parents and go abroad.

Ah but this is a prequel of a prequel, so in maths thats like a minus times a minus being a positive ?
I think there is plenty of scope to bring us a damn good story, and there is always something much more fun about shows with darker/morally dubious undertones imho. Besides, Rogue One is up there as one of, if not the best Star Wars to date and we all broadly knew how that was gonna end.
I get what you're saying about having no idea what-so-ever where its heading, but if the writings good that shouldn't be a problem. I've got everything crossed that this is as good as the trailers suggest it might be.

Alright Rams, Guiseley (who?) fan here in peace.
I came to the Oxford game on Saturday with my mate (Wolves fan).
It was our first trip to Pride Park between us and usually we pick a random game every so often. So we ended up at your place.
We had a great time, your stadium is fantastic. Plenty of eateries around the ground too. The fans we were sat near were passionate and it was infectious. We were in the North Stand which was family orientated but it was nice to see so many youngsters getting behind the team.
The atmosphere was great, the bounce by the south stand was something I won't forget. Capped with a great goal to get the win aswell.
Only downside being, we parked at the industrial park past the south stand and we didn't move for about an hour after the final whistle. But that didn't spoil a great day out.
All the best for the season, will be looking out for your results and will likely come back later in the season too.

maxjam got a reaction from Steve How Hard? in Matchday Thread - Derby County v Oxford United (30/07 15:00)
Tough game, gonna be a few walking wounded after that!
I was concerned that given the number of new players it might take us a while to gel (it still might) and we'd be playing catchup. If we can pick up some good wins like this one early doors though whilst we're still squad building and getting to know each other, it will set us up nicely for a good season.
Given some of the challenges flying around though that didn't get booked (is that the standard for league 1?!?) we're gonna need a few more than the 4-5 players LR mentioned the other day!

"...Rooney called on Friday to wish Rosenior good luck. Another symbol of the togetherness born from the chaos was in the dressing room at full-time. Krystian Bielik, who joined Birmingham on loan on Friday in order to give himself a chance of making Poland’s squad for the World Cup, wished everyone all the best.
“I finished the teamtalk, I turned around and Krystian is standing there,” Rosenior said. “He’s not leaving the club because he doesn’t want to be here, he’s leaving to follow his dream and we should appreciate that and give him the best chance to do that.”
